【no.11】年末年始の日本での過ごし方

はじめに　Introduction

年末は日本に帰りました．

At the end of the year, I went back to Japan .

本当は2024年の春に帰る予定だったのですが，2023年の6月あたりから親知らずが痛み出してしまいずっと悩んでおりました．

I was actually planning to return in the spring of 2024, but my wisdom teeth started to hurt around June 2023 and have been bothering me ever since.

親知らずのせいか，昨年は今までにないほど体調を崩してしまいました．

Perhaps because of my wisdom teeth, I was sicker last year than I have ever been.

親知らずをイギリスで抜こうかと思ったのですが，周りの方からお話を伺うと「イギリスは親知らずを抜くときは全身麻酔だよ．」とか「１本抜くつもりが目が覚めたら４本抜かれていたよ．」とか・・・色々と良からぬ噂話を聞き怖くなったので，保健はききませんが日本に帰って抜くことにしました．

I thought about having my wisdom teeth removed in the UK, but I heard from people around me that "in the UK you have to have a general anaesthetic when you have your wisdom teeth removed..." I was going to have one wisdom tooth removed, but when I woke up I found that they had removed four...". I heard a lot of bad rumours and got scared, so I decided to go back to Japan to have them removed, even though there was no national insurance.

一度だけ現地の歯医者に行ったのですが，レントゲンだけで￡60かかりました(*_*;

I went to a local dentist once and it cost me ￡60 just for an x-ray．

ということで，今回の記事は日本の年末年始の思い出を残しておこうと思います．

So this article will leave you with some memories of the year-end and New Year's holidays in Japan.

出発から飛行機Departure to plane

出発したのはクリスマス直前だったのでクリスマスツリーをヒースロー空港で発見しました🎄

We left just before Christmas and found the Christmas tree at Heathrow Airport.

飛行機の中🛫では，映画を見たりうたた寝したりしていました．

On the plane 🛫, I watched films and dozed off.

今回は「ミッションインポッシブル」と「A few gootd men」を拝見しました．

This time I watched " Mission Impossible" and "A few gootd men" .

ミッションインポッシブルは実際に映画館で観たのですが，英語だったのでよく聞き取れず，日本語字幕で見れて満足でした．

I actually watched Mission Impossible in the cinema, but it was in English, so I couldn't understand it well, so I was happy to watch it with Japanese subtitles.

「A few good men」は大学の英語の授業で拝見したのですが，全部は観たことがなかったので，目に留まってつい選んでしまいました．

I watched "A few good men" in my English class at university, but I'd never watched them all, so they caught my eye and I picked them out.

90年代の映画は今では表現できない，なんとも言えない雰囲気があってとても好きです．

I love the films of the 90s because they have an indescribable atmosphere that cannot be expressed nowadays.

日本食堪能と悲劇Japanese food proficiency and tragedy

8か月ぶりに日本に到着して最初に食べたものは「抹茶ソフト」です．

羽田空港の「茶寮翠泉」で頂きました．

The first thing I ate after arriving in Japan for the first time in eight months was 'Matcha Soft'.

I had it at Saryo Suisen in Haneda Airport.

到着したのが夜だったので，その日は東京に宿泊しました．

As it was night when I arrived, I stayed overnight in Tokyo that day.

次の日に池袋東武店の「茶寮翠泉」に行き再び抹茶を食べました．笑

The next day I went to ”Saryo Suisen” at the Ikebukuro Tobu branch and had matcha again.

そして何より，コンビニにいつでも行ける幸せを噛み締めました👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

８か月しかたっていないのにコンビニの商品が少し変わってびっくりしました．

Above all, I was happy to be able to go to the convenience store anytime I wanted. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I was surprised to see that the products in the convenience store had changed a little after only eight months.

そして，私に迫った悲劇とは「健康診断」です．

And the tragedy that loomed over me was the 'medical check-up'.

帰ってきてからすぐに健康診断を受けたのですが，人生初の健康診断の結果が「E」でした😂

I had a medical check-up as soon as I got back and for the first time in my life I got the grade  'E' 😂.

何が足を引っ張っていたかといいますと「胃」です．昔から疲れが出ると胃がキリキリと痛かったのですが，その原因は胃の中に潜むピロリ菌です．

What was dragging me down was my stomach. I have always had a stomach ache when I get tired, but the cause is the H. pylori bacterium hiding in my stomach.

ほっておくと胃がん・胃に穴が空いたりするらしいので，除去してから帰ることにしました．

I heard that if left untreated, it could lead to stomach cancer or a hole in the stomach, so I decided to remove it before leaving.

あ，胃の検査はバリウム検査も胃カメラ検査もやりましたが，もう二度とやりたくないです．なんかもっと苦しくならない方法誰か考えてください😵‍💫

I've had a barium and a gastroscopy, but I don't want to do it again. Please think of a way to make it less painful.

それよりもショックだったのが体重が５kgも増えていたことです🙄😱

More shocking was that I had gained 5 kg.

そこまでの量は食べていなかったのですが，出てくる料理がすべて茶色い物だったのでそれが原因だったのかな？と思います．今年は絶対体重もどします．

I didn't eat that much, but all the food was brown, so maybe that was the reason? I think so. I will definitely regain my weight this year.

ディズニーランドDisneyland

ディスニ―はクリスマスシーズンが一番好きです．

Disney likes the Christmas season best .

クリスマス自体は特に興味がないのですが，クリスマスに向けて準備をする街のにぎわいを見るのがとても好きなのです．

I'm not particularly interested in Christmas itself, but I really like to see the bustle of the city getting ready for it.

エレクトニカルパレードは特等席で見れました♪🎅🎄大満足．

I had a special seat to see the Electronical Parade 🎅🎅🎄 very satisfied .

１泊２日名古屋旅行2-day/1-night trip to Nagoya

続いては新幹線で相棒と名古屋旅行へ．

Next, I travelled to Nagoya with my partner on the Shinkansen .

１日目は名古屋港水族館です．私の相棒はシャチが大好きで，私も水族館が好きなので気づいたら５時間ほど滞在しました．

The first day was at the Port of Nagoya Aquarium. My partner loves killer whales and I love aquariums, so we found ourselves there for about five hours.

シャチがなぜ哺乳類と断定できたのか勉強をしました．

I studied why killer whales were determined to be mammals.

楽しかった🐡🐟☟

近くにイルミネーションスポットがあったのでついでに見てきました．

There was an illumination spot nearby, so I went and had a look .

夜は居酒屋で少し名古屋名物を食べてからホテルで飲みなおしました．

In the evening we had a few Nagoya specialities at an izakaya and then went back to the hotel for drinks .

居酒屋での写真は撮り忘れてしまいました．．串カツ・手羽先・餃子を堪能しました．

やっぱり名古屋は味が濃いものが多かったです．

I forgot to take photos at the pub . I enjoyed kushikatsu, chicken wings and gyoza (dumplings).

Nagoya has a strong flavour, after all.

２日目は私がずっと行きたかった場所「名古屋市科学館」へ．

On the second day, I went to the Nagoya City Science Museum, a place I had always wanted to visit.

お目当てはプラネタリウムです．世界最大のプラネタリウムは綺麗でした☆

The planetarium was a must-see. The world's largest planetarium was beautiful.

座り心地がとてもよく，うとうとしてしまいましたが・・・笑

The seat was so comfortable that I dozed off.

他にも南極の-30℃を体感できる場所や科学実験とかがあってここも気づいたら４時間ほど滞在していました．

There is also a place where you can experience -30°C in Antarctica and scientific experiments, where I found myself staying for about four hours.

こちらプラネタリウム　This is the planetarium.

帰り際，科学館の目の前にあったたい焼き屋さんによって甘い物を食べました．

他のお店では味わえないフレーバーがたくさんありました．

On the way home, we went to a taiyaki shop right in front of the science museum to eat something sweet.

There were many flavours that could not be found in other shops.

お昼はひつまぶしを食べると決めていたのですが，長蛇の列で１時間ほど待っても名前が呼ばれなかったので新幹線に間に合わないと断念し，急遽味噌煮込みうどんに変更しました．カキが入った味噌煮込みうどんを注文しました．

I had decided to have Hitsumabushi for lunch, but there was a long queue and my name was not called after waiting for an hour, so I gave up and changed to Miso-nikomi Udon in a hurry as I could not make the bullet train in time. I ordered Miso Nikomi Udon with oysters.

時間があっという間に過ぎてしまってびっくりしました．ひつまぶし，小倉トーストはまた今度．

I was surprised that time passed so quickly. I will eat the Hitsu-mabushi and Ogura Toast next time.

江の島と横浜Enoshima and Yokohama

年始にはお参りするために神奈川へ．

At the beginning of the year, I went to Kanagawa to pay my respects .

江ノ電に乗って江の島駅で下車して江島神社に向かって歩いていたら途中で富士山が見えました✨

I took the Enoden(which is cute green train) and got off at Enoshima Station and was walking towards Ejima Shrine when I saw Mt Fuji on the way.

お参りしてから今年を占うおみくじを引きました．

After praying, I drew a fortune to predict the year ahead .

I will continue to put my health first and work hard to pursue our dreams in the future.

We was a bit hungry, so We had some seafood.

夜ごはん何にしようと考えていましたが，近かったので横浜中華街へ行きました．

I was thinking about what to have for dinner, but I went to Yokohama Chinatown because it was close.

何年ぶりだったか忘れましたが，久々の中華，美味しかったです🥟🥠🌞

I don't remember how long it's been since I've been China town...

But It was sooo good!

中華街では焼き小籠包とタピオカを食べました．この量でもかなりお腹がいっぱいになりました．

In Chinatown, I had grilled parcels and tapioca. I was quite full even with this amount of food .

ついでに赤レンガ倉庫によってウィンドーショッピングを楽しみました．

I also went window shopping at the Red Brick Warehouse.

私にとって赤レンガ倉庫といったら「あぶない刑事」のエンディング．

For me, the Red Brick Warehouse is the ending of "abunaideka"which is japanese TV drama.

東京とか食べ収めとかTokyo or eating out

東京へも遊びに行きました．ずっと指輪が欲しかったので，指輪を作りました．

I also went to Tokyo for a visit. I wanted a ring for a long time, so I made one.

カップルしかいない中，私は一人黙々と作業していました．笑

I was working quietly by myself, with only a couple around.

仕事が良い方向に進みますように，と右手人差し指用に．日本のお守りは持ち歩くのが苦手なので，一生使えるお守りができてよかったなと，満足です．

I put it on the index finger of my right hand to wish that my work will go in the right direction. I'm not good at carrying around Japanese amulets, so I'm happy to have an amulet that will last a lifetime.

お昼は青山にあるパン屋さんでクロワッサンを食べました🥐☟

I had croissants for lunch at a bakery in Aoyama.

それから渋谷のロフトで開催されたハイキュー展へお姉ちゃんと言ってきました．

Then I went with my sister to the Hi-Q which is vollyball animetion exhibition at the Loft in Shibuya .

その帰りに沖縄料理屋さんで飲み．紅イモコロッケがおいしかったです．

On the way back, we had a drink at an Okinawan restaurant. The red potato croquettes were delicious ...

今度日本へ帰るときは沖縄も行きたいなと思いました．

I would like to visit Okinawa next time I go back to Japan.

東京には住んでたのに，渋谷駅を利用するのはなんだかんだ初めてでした．

Although I had lived in Tokyo, this was somehow the first time I had used Shibuya station.

それから，出発前最後の土日を利用して大洗へ．

美味しいオイスターを食べに行きました．

Then we went to Oarai on the last Saturday and Sunday before departure.

We went to Oarai to eat delicious oysters.

そしてラストスパートは日本でしか食べられないものを極限まで胃の中に詰め込み，出発しました．抹茶・納豆・キムチ・おでん🍢・煮物・すし・すし・すし🍣

And for the last spurt, we stuffed our stomachs to the limit with food that can only be found in Japan, and off we went.

Matcha, natto, kimchi, oden🍢, simmered dishes, sushi, sushi, sushi🍣.

親知らず抜いた後の食事Eating after wisdom teeth extraction

健康診断の結果が届いたのが30日，飛行機は１月１日の予定だったので急いでキャンセルし，歯科と内科に連絡．

The results of the medical check-up were received on 30 January and the flight was scheduled for 1 January, so I hurriedly cancelled the flight and contacted the dental and internal medicine departments.

色々な人にご迷惑をおかけしました．また，温かい言葉をかけてくれた人に感謝です．

I am sorry for the trouble I have caused to many people. I would also like to thank those who gave me warm words of encouragement.

親知らず抜歯経験者から，「すっごい痛かったよ」と脅してきたので少しビビっていたのですが全然大丈夫でした🦷（２本目は痛かった．）

I was a bit intimidated by the threats from people who had had their wisdom teeth extracted, saying that it hurt like hell, but it was totally fine!(The second one was painful ...)

しかし，抜歯した後はあまりかまない方がいいと言われたので流動食を楽しみました．

However, I enjoyed a liquid diet because I was told I should not chew too much after the tooth extraction.

１日目は飲むタイプのゼリーを飲んで栄養補給をしました．抜いた直後は流動食でも美味しいものがたくさんあるのでやっぱり日本で抜いてよかったと思いました☟

On the first day, I drank a drinkable jelly to nourish myself ... Immediately after taking it out, I was glad that I had taken it out in Japan, because there are many tasty liquid foods.

３日目の夜あたりから徐々に食べられるようになり，もうすっかり元気です．

I started to eat gradually on the third night and is now completely healthy.

おわりにconclusion

やっぱり生まれ育った場所は居心地が良かったです．特にトイレの綺麗さは世界一だと実感しました．(まだ世界一周してないけど．)

I felt at home in the place where I grew up. I realised that the cleanliness of the toilets in particular is the best in the world. (I haven't been round the world yet...).

久々にたくさんの人に会えたのも良かったです🤗🕶️

It was also good to see so many people after a long time.

会ってくれた人ありがとう～．

今回の目的は親知らずの治療だったので，安静にしていましたが次はもっとたくさんの人にお会いしたいと思いました💞

The purpose of this visit was wisdom teeth treatment, so I was at rest, but next time I wanted to see more people.

次に日本に帰ってくるときは，絶対体重戻して帰ってきます🛬🛬🛬

Next time I come back to Japan, I will definitely regain my weight.

【No.10】６泊７日オーストリア・チェコ・ドイツ・スロバキアの旅

はじめに

新年あけましておめでとうございます(`･ω･´)

Happy new year!!

5ヶ月ぶりの投稿となってしまいましたが，なんとか生きております．

It's been five months since my last post, but I'm still alive somehow.

実は９月の中旬に体調を崩しておりました．

味覚・嗅覚がなくなってしまったのでコロナに感染してしまったのだと思います．

In fact, I was ill in the middle of September .
I lost my sense of taste and smell . so, probably  I think I was infected with COVID-19.

イギリス人は病院に行かないらしく，現地の方に習って薬局の薬だけで直しました．

The English don't seem to go to the hospital, so I took a lesson from the locals and felt better using only medicines from the pharmacy.

イギリスで風邪薬といったら「レムシップ」．お湯に溶かして飲むレモン味の風邪薬です．この風邪薬だけでコロナ治しました👍

"LEMSIP" is the UK's cold medicine of choice. 

It is a lemon-flavoured cold remedy that is dissolved in hot water ... This cold medicine alone cured my physical condition .

しばらくは味覚・嗅覚が戻らずに苦しんでいましたが，同僚の方から「亜鉛飲むといいよ．」とアドバイスを頂き亜鉛を飲み続けたところやっと食べ物を美味しく味わえるようになってきました．

For a while I suffered from a lack of taste and smell, but a colleague advised me to take zinc. I continued to take zinc and was finally able to taste food.

今回は8月30日～9月5日に行った6泊7日のヨーロッパ旅行の記録を残しておきます．

オーストリアでプチオーケストPetit Orchestra in Austria

通りかかった道☝the way one passes

まず１日目はイギリスからオーストリアの首都ウィーンへ移動しました🛫

The first day was spent travelling from the UK to Vienna, the Austrian capital.

飛行時間は２時間くらいだったので，映画を堪能しました．

The flight lasted about two hours, so I enjoyed the film.

オーストリアに関連した映画がないかな，と思い探していると「マリーアントワネット」を見つけたのでHuluでダウンロードして拝見しました☟

I was looking for a film related to Austria and found 'Marie-Antoinette', which I downloaded and watched on Hulu(which is Japanese app like Netflix).

マリーアントワネットはフランツ1世とマリアテルジアとの間にウィーンで生まれた王女ということをこの映画を拝見して初めて知りました．

It was only after watching this film that I learnt that Marie-Antoinette was a princess born in Vienna to Franz I and Maria Theresa.

ウィーン観光の一番の目的は幼少期にマリーアントワネットが暮らしていたシェーンブルン宮殿だったので映画で予習することでより楽しめました．

The main purpose of the visit to Vienna was to see Schönbrunn Palace, where Marie-Antoinette lived as a child, so learning about it from the film made it even more enjoyable.

空港に到着してすぐお腹がすいていたので腹ごしらえへ．

I was hungry as soon as I arrived at the airport, so I went to get something to eat .

オーストリアで有名なシュニッツェルをワインと一緒に頂きました．それからビーフシチューも頼みました．お肉がほろほろで味がしみていてとても美味しかったです．

We had the famous Austrian schnitzel with wine. We also ordered beef stew. The meat was very tasty, tender and full of flavour.

おまけでついてくる丸いパンもモチモチしていてビーフシチューによく合いました☟

The round bread that came as an extra was also chewy and went well with the beef stew.

その後，日が沈んできたので散歩をしながらぶらぶらと観光しました．

Afterwards, as the sun was setting, we went for a walk and did some sightseeing.

海外ドラマで登場したのを見たことがあるシュテファン大聖堂を見れました💒

とても迫力があって驚きました．

I saw St. Stephen's Cathedral, which I had seen in a foreign drama 💒.

It was very powerful and amazing .

大聖堂を出てウロウロしていると，オーケストラを経営している男性に声を掛けられました．

As I wandered out of the cathedral, I was approached by the man who runs the orchestra.

明日うちの団体のオーケストラがあるから見に来ない？18歳以下の料金でいいよ．と言われ，観に行くことに．

 He said that "Tomorrow we have an orchestra, why don't you come and see it? "

And then, I would go and see it. 

大きな会場で演奏されるオーケストラは９月以降の公演なので見れないなぁ．．と落ち込んでいたのですが，少し小さめのコンサートでも見ることができてよかったです．

 I was depressed that I couldn't see the orchestra playing in a big venue as they only perform from September onwards... I was depressed, but I was glad to be able to see a slightly smaller concert.

どの曲も誰もが一度は耳にしたことのあるような有名なものばかりで迫力のある生演奏に鳥肌が立ちました．

All the songs are well-known ones that everyone has listened at least once, and the powerful live performance gave me goosebumps.

そして食後のデザートにザッハトルテを．とても有名なお店らしく昼間にお店の前を通ったときは行列ができていましたが，私たちが行ったのは夕方だったのですぐに入れました🍰☕

And a Sachertorte (which is a chocolate cake from Austria named after the man who invented it, Franz Sacher) for dessert after dinner. It seems to be a very famous shop and there was a queue when we passed by the shop in the afternoon, but we went in the evening so we were able to get in straight away!

甘党の私でも「あんまっっっ‼１つ食べれないかもな」となるほど甘かったです．笑

It was so sweet that even I, who has a sweet tooth, thought, "Oh no, I can't eat one of these..." .

もったいないので間食しましたが，２人で１つが丁度よかったな，と思いました．

I snacked on it because it was such a waste, but I thought that one for two was just right.

その後お土産屋さんを覗きながら散歩してホテルに戻りました．

Afterwards, I took a stroll through the souvenir shops and returned to the hotel .

ヨーロッパのホテルには冷房がついておらず，扇風機だけでした．さらにイタリアと同じくシャンプー・リンス・ボディソープはすべて同じ石鹸．(笑)

一週間髪の毛はバッサバサで旅する事になります．

Hotels in Europe do not have air-conditioning, only fans. Furthermore, as in Italy, the shampoo, conditioner and body soap were all the same soap.

I had to travel with my hair shagged for a week.

２日目は朝から歩いてシェーンブルン宮殿へ向かいました．

On the second day, we walked to Schönbrunn Palace in the morning.

ホテルから歩いて１時間くらいの場所に宮殿があったのですが，途中でたまたま通った公園がさまざまな音楽家の銅像が点々と建てられていました．

The palace was about an hour's walk from the hotel, but on the way there we happened to pass a park dotted with statues of various musicians.

中学の音楽の授業で印象的だった「魔王」の作曲家，シューベルトさんの銅像を見つけたときは知らない場所なのにもかかわらずどこか親しみを持てました☟

When I found a statue of Schubert, the composer of 'The Devil King', which made an impression on me in music class in junior high school, I felt a certain familiarity with the place, even though I didn't know it.

私はシューベルトの「鱒」が好きなのでしばらく宮殿に向かいながら流していました．

I like Schubert's 'Trout' so I played it for a while as I walked to the palace ...

ホテルから１時間ほど歩くとシェーンブルン宮殿に到着しました．

An hour's walk from the hotel brought us to Schönbrunn Palace.

宮殿の外見は黄色く塗装されていますが，これはマリアテルジアが好きだった色らしいです．本当は金箔をし要したかったらしいのですが，当時のオーストラリアは経済的に厳しかったらしく似た色の黄色が使用されました（調べた）！🤔

The exterior of the palace is painted yellow, which was apparently Maria Theresa's favourite colour. It is said that she would have liked to have used gold leaf, but Australia was in a difficult economic situation at the time and a similar yellow colour was used .

入り口で音声ガイドをもらえるのですが，私たちは見逃してゲットできずに見学しました．

You can get an audio guide at the entrance, but we missed it and didn't get it.

この宮殿ではモーツァルトがマリーアントワネットに初めて会ったのにも関わらずプロポーズした場所としても有名らしいです．（２人とも幼少期の頃）

The palace is said to be famous as the place where Mozart proposed to Marie-Antoinette, even though it was the first time he met her.

(When they were both in their early years.)

とても広くてゆっくり見学していたら１時間ほどかかると思います．

It is so large that a leisurely tour would take about an hour.

宮殿の敷地は本当に広いので，現地の人々のランニングコースになっています．さらに，なんと動物園まであります🦒🦁🐼

The palace grounds are so large that they have become a running track for the locals. What's more, there is even a zoo!

宮殿から20分ほど歩いた場所にカフェがあるのでそこでお昼を頂きました．

There is a café about 20 minutes' walk from the palace where we had lunch ...

建物の上は展望台のようになっていて，見晴らしがとても良かったです．

The top of the building was like an observatory and the view was very good.

チェコの景色を堪能Enjoy the Czech landscape

３日目は早朝からバスでチェコへ向かいました．

バス停に向かう途中にたまたま大きい宮殿があり，立ち寄ってみました．

On the third day, we went to the Czech Republic by bus in the early morning.

On the way to the bus stop, we happened to stop by a large palace.

現地の人たちが朝６時ぐらいからランニングしていました．

Local people were running from about 6am .

宮殿内には世界的に有名なクリムトの作品が飾られているようです．

The palace seems to be decorated with works by the world-famous Klimt.

私の親友が美術専門なので，興味があり本屋で美術本を立ち読みしたりするのですがその時に印象的だったうちの一つの作品がクリムトの「接吻」．

I have a good friend who specialises in art ,so I ofetn check art books at a bookstore. And one of the interested was Klimt's "The Kiss".

こちらの作品をモチーフにしたお土産があちこちにありました．

バスにモニターがついていて飛行機のように映画が観れるようになっていたのでびっくりしました．

I was surprised to see that the buses were equipped with monitors so that you could watch films, just like on an aeroplane ...

チェコはプラハに１日だけしか観光しませんでしたが，大満足でした🤗🕶️

I only spent one day in Prague, but I was very satisfied with my visit to the Czech Republic.

５時間ほどバスに揺られているとチェコに到着しました．

After a five-hour bus ride, we arrived in the Czech Republic .

座りっぱなしだったので疲れてしまい，バスを降りてからすぐにスターバックスでお茶をしました．

I was so tired from all the sitting that I got off the bus and immediately went to Starbucks for a cup of tea.

チェコの景色はどこを撮っても素敵でした．

The Czech landscape was lovely wherever it was photographed .

到着してからはずっと散歩していました．

I've been walking ever since I arrived .

最初に向かったのは天文時計です．近くに馬車もあってタイムスリップしたみたいでした．

The first stop was the Astronomical Clock. There was a horse-drawn carriage nearby, so it was like stepping back in time.

続いてミッションインポッシブの１番最初で登場するカレル橋へ行ってきました．

We then went to the Charles Bridge, which appears in the first of the Mission Impossibles.

夕方に行ったときにはスムーズに歩けないくらいの人だらけでした．

When I went in the evening, there were so many people that I couldn't walk smoothly .

次の日は朝早く橋の上を散歩したのですが，その時はあまり人がいませんでした．写真撮るなら朝がオススメです．

The next day I took a walk on the bridge early in the morning and there were not many people there. Morning is the best time to take photos.

友達と合流してから夜ごはんを食べに行きました．

After meeting up with friends, we went for dinner .

チェコの伝統料理を調べてみると「豚の膝肉の丸焼き(ポークナックル)」が出てきたので，注文してみました．ワンピースのルフィーが食べていそうなお見た目．

When I looked up traditional Czech food, I found 'pork knuckle', so I ordered it. It looks like something Ruffy from One Piece(which is Japanese anime) would eat.

写真で見ても分かるようにとても美味しく，お酒にもあってすぐお腹いっぱいになりました．

As you can see from the photos, the food was very tasty, and with the drinks, we were soon full.

お肉の隅っこにあるのは小麦粉とジャガイモで作られたものです．とてもモチモチしていてお餅みたいで美味しかったです．

The corner of the meat is made of flour and potatoes ... . It was very chewy and tasted like rice cakes .

この量で合計738チェココロナでした．約3000円くらい．ちなみにチェコの通貨は「チェココロナ」です．１チェココロナは6.47円です．（2024年１月)

The total for this quantity was 738 CZK. About 3,000 yen. The currency of the Czech Republic is the Czech korona. 1 Czech korona is 6.47 yen. (January 2024)

その後，またチェコの街を散歩しながらホテルへ向かいました．

3日目はホテルに向かって終了！

と，言いたいところですが，ホテルチェックイン時に事件が．

Day 3 ends with a trip to the hotel!

But there was an incident when we checked in to the hotel...

ホテルに到着したのは７時ぐらいだったのですが，カウンターに誰もいない．．．

チェックインできないじゃん⁉とパニック．

I arrived at the hotel at around 7 o'clock and there was no one at the counter...

I panicked and thought, "I can't check in!

ネットでホテルの電話番号を調べ，どうやってチェックインするか尋ねることになります．

You will have to look up the hotel's telephone number online and ask how to check in.

一度オンラインで税金を払い，一回電話を切ってポストを開けるための４桁の番号を聞いて，何とか鍵をゲットできました🗝🔐

Once I paid the tax online, hung up once and asked for the four-digit number to open the post, I managed to get the key.

ホテルに到着したのに，約１時間ほどさまよっていた私たち．

We arrived at the hotel and wandered around for about an hour.

ホテルのお部屋はキッチンもついていて，とても広かったです．

もっと早く着きたかった・・・

The hotel room was very spacious with a kitchen.

I wish I had arrived earlier ...

４日目は早起きして，バス乗り場へ．その前に，また少しチェコの街を散策．

On the fourth day, we wake up early and go to the bus station. Before that, I had another short walk around the Czech Republic.

旅先では，朝早く起きて散歩をするのが好きです💃🏻

When travelling, I like to get up early in the morning and go for a walk.

あっという間に時間が過ぎ，ミュンヘン行きのバスへ．

In no time at all, time passes and you are on your way to the bus to Munich.

途中，ドイツとチェコのちょうど国境でサービスエリアのような場所に停車してくれました．日本のサービスエリアと似ていて食べ物も売っていました．私はサンドウィッチを購入してバスで食べました．

On the way, the train stopped at a place that looked like a service area. It was similar to a service area in Japan and sold food. I bought a sandwich and ate it on the bus.

嘘っぽく聞こえると思いますが，今まで食べたサンドウィッチの中で一番おいしかったです．

I know it sounds like a lie, but it was the best sandwich I've ever had.

ドイツでまたまたビール🍺Beer in Germany again

前回の旅行ではドイツのフランクフルトへ行きましたが，今回はミュンヘンへ行ってきました♪

On my last trip I went to Frankfurt, Germany, and this time I went to Munich.

プラハを出発してバスで移動したので到着したのは夕方ぐらいでした．移動で疲れてしまったのでホテルのすぐ下の階にあったスーパーへ行ってビールとおつまみを購入してホテル飲みをしました．

We left Prague and travelled by bus, so we arrived in the evening. I was tired from the journey, so I went to the supermarket just downstairs from the hotel, bought some beer and snacks and had a drink at the hotel.

ビールがとにかく安く，２瓶買いました🍺

The beer was so cheap that I bought two bottles.

４日目はゆっくり休むことができました．旅行中って一日２万歩くらい歩きますよね💦

On the fourth day, I was able to take a good rest . You walk about 20,000 steps a day when you are travelling, don't you?

特に私は歩くのが好きなのと，知らない土地を歩くのが好きなのでなるべく交通機関を使わないのでホテルに着くと毎日くたくたになります．

I especially like walking and I don't use transport as much as possible because I like walking and I like walking in unknown places, so I'm exhausted every day when I get to the hotel.

５日目は朝に出発して楽しみだったノイシュバンシュタイン城へ．

電車とバスを使って山のふもとまで向かいました．

On the fifth day, we left in the morning for Neuschwanstein Castle, which we were looking forward to.

We took the train and bus to the foot of the mountain.

ノイシュバンシュタイン城はフリードリヒ２世が娯楽のために建てたお城です．シンデレラ城のモデルになったとても有名なお城です🏰

Neuschwanstein Castle was built by Friedrich II for his amusement. This very famous castle was the model for Cinderella Castle.

ただ，そのお城に到着するまでには険しい坂を上らなければならず．．．

But we have to climb a steep hill to get to the castle.

途中で通り過ぎる馬車があったのですが，乗車にはかなりのお値段がかかるので頑張って登りました．

There were horse-drawn carriages that passed us on the way up, but the ride was quite expensive, so we worked hard to get up there.

城内では携帯型の日本語の音声ガイドを手渡され，イヤホンで聞きながら見学できるのでどのように使われていたのか勉強になりました．

Inside the castle, visitors were given a portable audio guide in Japanese, which they could listen to with earphones, so they could learn about how the castle was used.

早朝からお城へ向かったので，ずっとお腹ペコペコでした．

ふもとにレストランがあったのでそこで昼食を取りました♪🍺

We went to the castle early in the morning, so we were hungry the whole time.

There was a restaurant at the foot of the castle, so we had lunch there.

６日目はお昼からあの有名なホフブロイハウスでビールとソーセージを頬張りました．

On the sixth day, we started lunch with beer and sausages at the famous Hofbräuhaus.

ホフブロイハウスへ行く前においしそうなケーキがあったのでいただきました．

Before going to the Hofbräuhaus, we had some delicious-looking cakes .

ヨーロッパってブラックコーヒー頼むとこのくらいのミニサイズしか出てこなくないですか？量を取るとアメリカ―ノしかない気がします・・・💦In Europe, if you order a black coffee, don't you only get a mini size like this? I feel like the only way to get the right amount of coffee is to get an American-no.

We have arrived at the Hofbräuhaus with the help of googlemap.

お店の中では常に生演奏されていて自然と楽しい気持ちになりました．

There was always live music in the shop, which naturally made me feel happy .

普段ビール派ではありませんが，今回ばかりはビールを注文．

メインのビールメニューは500mlか１Lジョッキしか選択肢かなく驚きました．

I'm not usually a beer drinker, but this time I ordered beer.

I was surprised to find that the main beer menu only offered 500ml and 1 litre mug options.

ちなみにお店では相席が普通で，私たちはアメリカから観光できたお客さんと相席になりました．

Incidentally, it is normal to share a table at the restaurant, and we shared a table with a tourist from the USA.

無計画スロバキアUnplanned Slovak tourism

６日目の夜に夜行バスに乗ってスロバキアのブラチスラバまで移動しました．

On the evening of the sixth day, I travelled to Bratislava, Slovakia, by night bus.

友達と一緒に行ったのにも関わらず，帰りは飛行機を取り間違えてしまい，途中で別れました．笑

I went with a friend, but on the way back we took the wrong flight and had to split up.

スロバキアに行く前はオーストリアの隣にある国ですが，どんな国なのかイメージがわかなかったです．

Before I went to Slovakia, I didn't have an image of what kind of country it was, even though it is next to Austria.

今回乗車したバスはボロボロでトイレが使えず・・・

スロバキアに到着してからすぐに近くの公衆トイレに寄ったのですが，そこでハプニングが起きました．

The bus we boarded this time was so battered that we couldn't use the toilets...

After arriving in Slovakia, we immediately stopped at a public toilet nearby, but then something happened.

まず，トイレットペーパーがついていませんでした．幸い，ティッシュを持ち歩いていたので大丈夫でしたが，他の人はどうやってるんだろう？と思いました．

First, there was no toilet paper. Fortunately, I had tissues with me, so I was fine, but I wondered how other people did it. I wondered.

もっと驚いたのは，トイレから去ろうとした瞬間，トイレの門番のような男性がいきなり出口にひょこっと（そんな可愛いもんじゃなかった）現れて，「€１払って．」と迫ってきました．

What was more surprising was that just as I was about to leave the toilet, a man who looked like a toilet gatekeeper suddenly appeared at the exit (he wasn't that cute) and said, "Pay me €1...". He asked me to pay him €1.

チェコに行ったときにチェココロナに現金を少し変えていたのですが，ユーロでの現金は残りちょうど€１しかなかったので，危なかったです．お金払ってと言われたときは冷や冷やしました．

I had changed some cash into Czech Corona when I went to the Czech Republic, but I had just €1 left in Euros, so it was a close call. I was chilled when they asked me to pay.

スロバキアに到着してからすぐにブラチスラバ城へ向かいました．お城ってどこでも標高が高いところにありので，街を一望できますよね．

As soon as I arrived in Slovakia, I headed for Bratislava Castle. Castles are always located at a high altitude, so you get a great view of the city,dont't you?

どこを撮っても絵になります．

Everywhere you take a picture is picturesque.

スロバキアはまだまだ発展途中な国で，道路が整理されていてキレイなところもあれば少し道を外れると廃れたビルが立ち並ぶようなところもあり，不思議な感じがしました．

Slovakia is a country still in the process of development, and I found it strange that in some places the roads are well organised and beautiful, while in others, a little off the beaten track, there are rows of dilapidated buildings.

最後にグーグルマップで調べてパブでスロバキア料理を食べてウィーンの空港に戻りました．

Finally, I looked it up on Google Maps, had some Slovak food in a pub and returned to the airport in Vienna .

It was a delicious dish with lots of cheese and flour . I had it with a glass of wine. You drink alcohol every day when you are travelling, don't you?

とても濃い一週間の旅でした．ちょっと忙しすぎて疲れましたが，もっと色々な文化や料理，人に触れあいたいなと思いました．

It was a very intense week of travel. I was a bit too busy and tired, but I would have liked to have more contact with different cultures, cuisines and people.

おわりにConclusion

2023年は環境の変化でかなり体調を崩してしまいました．

In 2023, I was quite ill due to environmental changes .

１年のうちでこんなに体調崩したのは初めてだった気がします．所詮動物なんだなと感じました．笑

I don't think I've ever been so ill in a year ... I felt like I was just an animal.

中国から輸入されたパンダが元気がなくなってゆくのと同じような．．．

2024年は「健康第一」を目標に頑張りたいと思います．

In 2024, I will do my best to achieve the goal of 'health first'.

【No.9】イタリア一人旅 Italy solo trip

はじめに　Introduction

先日イタリアへ一人旅に行って参りました．

The other day, I went on a solo trip to Italy.

イギリスは8月にも関わらずに寒さを感じるので，久々に歩いているだけで汗が出る感覚を味わいました．

Even though it's August in the UK, it feels cold, so for the first time in a while I felt like I was sweating just by walking.

1人なので自分で行動するしかないという状況がとても楽しかったです．

I really enjoyed being in a situation where I had no choice but to act on my own because I was alone.

では３泊４日のイタリア旅行日記のはじまりはじまり～👏👏👏

So, the beginning of my 3 nights and 4 days travel diary in Italy.

First day

空港到着　Arrival at airport

スタンステッド空港を早朝出発だったので前日はホテルに滞在しました．

Since I was leaving Stansted Airport early in the morning, I stayed at a hotel the day before.

今まで泊まったホテルのどのベットよりもマットレスがふかふかでダイブしました．（やってみたかった）

The mattress was fluffier than any other hotel bed I've stayed in so far.

(I wanted to try it)

夜は近くのスーパーで軽食を買って食べました．

In the evening, I purchased a snack at a nearby supermarket and ate it.

朝早く起きなくちゃ，と心配でなかなか眠れなかったです．

I was worried about having to wake up early in the morning and had a hard time falling asleep.

午前3:30に起床し，空港へ向かいました．

I woke up at 3:30am and headed to the airport.

ミラノのオーリオ・アル・セーリオ空港に到着した後そのままヴェネツィアまでバスで向かいました．

After arriving at Milan's Orio al Serio Airport, we took a bus to Venezia.

到着したのが16：00ぐらいだったのでホテルへ向かってチェックインを済ませました．

I arrived around 16:00, so I headed to the hotel and checked in.

その後，移動で疲れていたのかいつの間にか眠ってしまい18:00くらいから散歩へ向かいました．

After that, I was so tired from traveling that I fell asleep before I knew it and headed out for a walk around 6:00pm.

「水の都」と呼ばれる街は本当に美しかったです．

The city called "Water City" was truly beautiful.

途中で気づいたのですが，この間観たミッションインポッシブルもこんな感じだったな．．

と思い検索してみると，なんと撮影現場でした🫶🏻🏍️

Along the way, I realized that Mission Impossible, which I watched the other day, was also like this. ．．

When I searched for it, it turned out to be a filming site.

この街をあの大好きなキャストさん達が歩いたのか！と思うと心躍りました💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

Did those favorite cast members walk through this town? I was excited when I thought about it.

ヴェネツィアではそこら中に船がぷかぷかと浮いております．

In Venezia, ships are floating all over the place.

しかし，乗るとなると結構高い．

However, it is quite expensive to ride.

よくガイドブックで見るボートに乗るには100ユーロくらいします🚣

It costs about €100 to ride a boat that you often see in guidebooks.

なので私はサンタルーチア駅から徒歩でサンマルコ広場まで行きました．

So I walked from Santa Lucia Station to Piazza San Marco.

途中で迷子になりながらもなんとかたどり着きました！

Even though I got lost along the way, I managed to get there!

帰りはちょっと疲れてしまったので，１回の乗車で10ユーロのボートで帰りました．

I was a little tired on the way back, so I took a boat that cost €10 per ride.

払って損はなかったです．世界にこんな素敵なところがあるのか．．と感動しました．

There was no harm in paying. Is there such a wonderful place in the world? ．． I was impressed.

ボート乗り場がたくさんあり過ぎてどこから乗るのか30分くらい迷ってしまいましたが．．．笑

There are so many boat stops that I was confused about where to board for about 30 minutes.

ただ，周りはカップル・家族連れの人ばかりだったので1人は少々目立ちました．笑

However, there were only couples and families around, so one person stood out a little.

海外の方って公共の場で普通に愛情表現しますよね．

People from other countries express their affection in public places.

みんな美男美女で絵になるなぁ．といつも思います．映画のワンシーンみたい．すてき❣️

All the men and women are beautiful and it looks great in the picture. I always think that. It's like a scene from a movie. Wonderful❣️

ロマンチックな雰囲気なので新婚旅行で訪れる方が多いのかもしれません．

It has a romantic atmosphere, which is probably why many people visit on their honeymoon.

１日目はほとんどが移動で３時間しか観光できなかったです．

On the first day, I spent most of the time traveling and was only able to sightsee for 3 hours.

その日の夜はスーパーで生ハムとチーズとワインを購入して，晩酌をしました．

That night, we bought raw ham, cheese, and wine at the supermarket and had a drink.

疲れすぎて写真を撮るの忘れていました．

I was so tired that I forgot to take a photo.

旅行先のスーパーへ行くのがとても好きです．イタリアは生ハムとチーズとピザの生地・見たことのないパン・スイーツがありました．

I really like going to the grocerystore when I travel. In Italy, there was raw ham, cheese, pizza dough, and bread and sweets I had never seen before.

ちょっと驚いた出来事　Something that surprised me a little

ホテルに戻り，シャワーを浴びてゆっくりしていると部屋をノックされました．

When I returned to the hotel and was taking a shower and relaxing, there was a knock on my room.

つい反射的に「はーい．」と言ってしまいましたが，時刻を見ると22時．

I reflexively said "Yes," but when I looked at the time, it was 10pm.

こんな時間にホテルのクリーニングが来るわけがなく，怪しいと思い（手遅れだが）いないふりをしました．

There was no way the hotel cleaning lady would come at this hour, so I thought it was suspicious and pretended she wasn't there (even though it was too late).

しばらくはドアをゴンゴン叩いたり，ドアノブをガチャガチャと開ける音がしていましたが10分くらいすると流石に諦めて帰ってくれました．

For a while, I heard banging on the door and the sound of doorknobs being rattled open, but after about 10 minutes, they gave up and went home.

ヴェネツィアは１泊だけだったので，そこまでいいホテルではなくていいかな，と思って格安の場所を予約したのでセキュリティは緩かったです．

Since I was only staying in Venezia for one night, I thought it wouldn't be a good hotel, so I booked a cheap place, so the security was lax.

誰でもホテルの建物内に入れるし，部屋のドアは珍しくオートロックではなかったので．．．

Anyone can enter the hotel building, and the room doors were unusually not auto-locked.

たぶん酔っ払いだと思うのですが🤔

I think he's probably drunk.

ホテルの近くがパブになっていたので，夜中の１時くらいまでがやがやと音がしていました．

There was a pub near the hotel, so there was a lot of noise until about 1am.

今回イタリアで宿泊したホテル，２つともシャンプーとコンディショナーとボディーソープがすべて同じ石鹸でした．笑

The shampoo, conditioner, and body soap at both hotels I stayed at in Italy were all the same soap.

Day2：ヴェネツィア☞ミラノ  Venezia ☞ Milano

再び探検

午前9：30頃にホテルのチェックアウトを済ませてから１日目はあまりゆっくりできなかったので再びヴェネツィアの街を探検しました．

After checking out of the hotel around 9:30am, I wasn't able to relax very much on the first day, so I went back to exploring Venice.

歩いていると，そこら中に仮面のお店がありました．

As I was walking, there were mask shops all over the place.

ヴェネツィアのカーニバルって世界三大カーニバルのうちの１つらしいですね．

The Venezia Carnival is one of the three largest carnivals in the world.

訪れて，調べてみて初めて知りました．

I learned about it for the first time after visiting and researching it.

ちなみに残りの２つは．．．

ブラジルの「リオ」とスペインの「トリニダード」らしいです．

両方とも絶対いつか行く．

By the way, the remaining two... ．． ．．

Apparently they are Brazil's Rio and Spain's Trinidad.

I'll definitely go to both someday.

それはさておき，またも迷子になった私は疲れ果てて近くのジェラート屋さんへ避難．

Aside from that, I got lost again and was exhausted, so I took refuge at a nearby gelato shop.

その日の気温は30℃近くだったので，サッパリしたフレーバーを注文しました．

ヴェネツィアにはそこら中にジェラート屋さんがあるので，探さなくても食べれます．

There are gelato shops all over Venezia, so you can eat it without having to look for it.

たくさんジェラート屋さんがありすぎてどのお店に入ったのか忘れてしまいました．笑

There were so many gelato shops that I forgot which one I went to.

続いて１日目にも訪れたサンマルコ広場のすぐ近くのカフェ「フローリアン」へ．

なんとこのカフェ，18世紀に創業された世界最古のカフェらしいです☕

入らずにはいられない．

This cafe is said to be the oldest cafe in the world, founded in the 18th century.

内装が美術館の様でとても豪華．入口付近ではオーケストラが生演奏をしており，店内にまで綺麗な音色が届きます．

The interior is so luxurious that it looks like a museum. An orchestra is playing live near the entrance, and the beautiful tones reach the inside of the store.

ウェイターの方が日本語で「ありがとう，頑張ってね．」と話しかけてくれて，嬉しかったです．

The waiter spoke to me in Japanese and said, ``Thank you, please do your best.'' I was happy.

少々お値段しますが，ケーキとコーヒーを注文しました．

Although it was a bit expensive, I ordered cake and coffee.

甘党の私が「あんまっぃ‼😮」となるほど甘かった．

It was so sweet that even though I have a sweet tooth, I was like, ``That's sooooo sweet!!''

コーヒーはブラック派なのですが，せっかくなのでなんかオシャレなの頼んでみたらこれも甘かったので，休憩しながらいただきました．

I like my coffee black, but since I had the opportunity to order something fancy, it was also sweet, so I had it while I was taking a break.

お土産 souvenir

旅行へ行ったらやっぱり記念に何か欲しい．

When I go on a trip, I want something as a souvenir.

私はステッカーを集めているのですが，なかなか見つからないことが多いです．．．

I collect stickers, but I often have trouble finding them.

今回はマグネットを購入しました！マグネットは大体観光地で売られていますよね．

This time I bought a magnet! Magnets are usually sold at tourist spots.

歩いていると，観光客の女性を狙ってバラ🌹を差し出してくるおじさんが現れます．

As I was walking, an old man appeared who offered roses to female tourists.

うっかり受け取ってしまうと，人差し指と親指をすりすりと近づけてきて「money money」と寄ってきます．

If you accidentally accept it,  thaa man will come to you and put its index finger and thumb close to each other and say "money money".

通りすがりの困っている方を３人は見かけているので，結構な確率で遭遇するのではないかと思います．

I've seen three people passing by who were in trouble, so I think there's a good chance you'll run into them.

ミラノへ移動 Move to Milano

ジェラートも堪能して満足した私は電車でミラノ中央駅まで移動しました．

Satisfied with my gelato, I took the train to Milano Central Station.

イタリアも改札がなかったです．

Italy also didn't have ticket gates.

乗車中に美男美女の駅員さんがチケットの見回りに来ます．

While you are boarding, a handsome station staff member will come to check your tickets.

ちなみに，海外へ来る前は「公共交通機関は時間通りに動かない．」というイメージがありましたが．結構予定通りの時刻に出発するな，と思っております．

By the way, before I came overseas, I had the impression that public transportation doesn't run on time. I feel that I should leave at the scheduled time.

この時の電車は予定時刻より10分遅れる程度でした．

At this time, the train was only 10 minutes behind schedule.

ミラノ中央駅はとても広かったです‼☟

駅に到着してからすぐにホテルへ向かい，チェックインしました．

I was hungry, so I dropped off my luggage and headed to a restaurant.

イタリア料理といえば，思い浮かぶのはパスタ🍝とピザ🍕

誰かと一緒であれば一度の食事で両方味わえたのですが，一人でパスタとピザは入らないので．．．この日はパスタを頂きました．

If I was with someone, I could enjoy both in one meal, but I can't fit pasta and pizza alone. ．． ．． I had pasta that day.

そして，なんと偶然なことに隣に座ってた方が日本人でついつい話しかけてしまいました．笑

Then, by coincidence, the person sitting next to me was Japanese and I ended up talking to him.

時々聞こえてくる日本語はやっぱり安心感があります．

The Japanese I hear from time to time definitely gives me a sense of security.

スーパーマーケット Grocerystore

今度はミラノのスーパーマーケットへ．

This time, I went to a grocerystore in Milano.

明日の朝ごはんを買いにちょっと立ち寄りました．

I stopped by to purchase breakfast for tomorrow.

ブドウがパックに入れられずに売られていたのでびっくりしました．

I was surprised to see that the grapes were sold without being packaged.

プチトマトとチョコレートを購入．

I bought cherry tomatoes and chocolate.

Day3：ミラノ  Milano

スターバックスリザーブロースタリー

ミラノの観光地を調べていると，スターバックスリザーブ店が有名らしく行ってみることにしました．

When I was researching sightseeing spots in Milan, I heard that the Starbucks Reserve store was famous, so I decided to check it out.

スターバックスの落ち着いた雰囲気が大好きで，良く作業場として利用させてもらっています．

I love the calm atmosphere of Starbucks and often use it as a workspace.

ただ，悲しいことにイギリスではスターバックスのメニューは日本のものとは全く違うのです．．．

However, sadly, the Starbucks menu in the UK is completely different from the one in Japan. 

抹茶ティーラテとほうじ茶ティーラテが飲みたい．．．

I would like  to drink matcha tea latte and hojicha tea latte.

こちらではピスタチオラテとイチゴのタルトを注文しました☕🎂

I ordered a pistachio latte and a strawberry tart here.

スターバックスリザーブロースタリーは世界に６店舗しかないらしいです．

Apparently there are only 6 Starbucks Reserve Roastery stores in the world.

他はシアトル・上海・NY・東京（中目黒）・シカゴにあります．

The others are in Seattle, Shanghai, New York, Tokyo  and Chicago.

外観もお美しい☆

グッズもどれもデザインがシンプルで良かったです．私もマグカップを購入しました．

The designs of all the goods were simple and nice. I also bought a mug.

スフォルツェスコ城　Castello Sforzesco

スフォルツェスコ城とは．．．

What is Castello Sforzesco?

1358年から1370年ごろ中世イタリア・ミラノの名族ヴィスコンティ家の僭主（センシュ：古代ギリシャのポリスで非合法に独裁制を確立させた支配者のこと）ガレアッツォ２世ヴィスコンティによって建造命令がなされた城．

The castle was ordered to be built by Galeazzo II Visconti, a tyrant of the Visconti family of Milan, Italy, who illegally established a dictatorship in a polis in ancient Greece, between 1358 and 1370. ．．

もともとは星形の形状の広大なお城だったらしいですが，現在は元々の面積の1/4程度以下で，残りの敷地は公園や道路となっているようです．

It seems that it was originally a vast star-shaped castle, but now it is less than 1/4 of the original area, and the rest of the site is used as parks and roads.

この城，上から見ると名探偵コナン出てくる「黄昏の館」に似ている気がする．．

If you look at this castle from above, it looks similar to ``Twilight House'' from Detective Conan.

建物内は博物館・美術館になっており，あの有名なミケランジェロの最後の作品も見られます．

The building is now a museum and art gallery, where you can see the last works of the famous Michelangelo.

とても広く，散歩するだけで楽しかったです．

It was very spacious and it was fun just walking around.

ドゥオーモ Duomo

おしゃれなブランド店が並ぶ道を抜けて，続いてたどり着いたのがドゥオーモ．

After passing through the streets lined with fashionable brand stores, we arrived at the Duomo.

写真でもなんとなく伝わるかと思うのですが，この教会とても大きいんです！

As you can probably tell from the photos, this church is huge!

おそらく今まで見た教会の中で一番大きいのではないかと思います．

I think it's probably the biggest church I've ever seen.

ネットで調べてみると，バチカン市国のサン・ピエトロ大聖堂の次に広いみたいです．

When I looked it up on the internet, it seems to be the second largest cathedral after St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.

全長158ｍ，幅92ｍ，高さ108ｍのゴシック建築で５世紀の歳月をかけて多くの芸術家によって完成された教会だそうです．

The church is a Gothic building with a total length of 158m, width of 92m, and height of 108m, and was completed by many artists over the course of 5 centuries.

内装も素晴らしかったです．すごい以外の言葉が出てこないです．

The interior was also wonderful.I can't think of any words other than amazing.

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

ここは，ハイブランドのお店が立ち並ぶショッピングモールなのですがディズニーランドのワールドバザールのモデルになった場所らしいです．

This is a shopping mall lined with high-end brand shops, and it seems that it was the model for World Bazaar at Disneyland.

ヴィット―リオ・エマヌエーレ２世とは1820～1878年に実在したサルデーニャ王国の最後の国王であり，イタリア王国の初代国王の名前です．

Vittorio Emanuele II is the name of the last king of the Kingdom of Sardinia, who lived from 1820 to 1878, and the first king of the Kingdom of Italy.

ピザ🍕　Pizza

イタリアでどうしてもピザが食べたかったので，レストランを調べて食べに行きました✨

I really wanted to eat pizza in Italy, so I researched a restaurant and went to eat it.

定番のマルゲリータと迷いましたが，魚介が好きなので魚介のピザをオーダーしました．

I was hesitant about the standard margherita, but since I like seafood, I ordered the seafood pizza.

１人で１枚食べられるか不安でしたが，生地が薄かったので意外と間食できました🍽️🍽️

I was worried that I wouldn't be able to eat one by myself, but the dough was so thin that I was able to snack on it.

飲み物は白ワインを頼んだのですが，私の目の前でウエイターさんがワインのコルクを開け，コルクの匂いを嗅いでワイングラスを回して色を確認していました．

（結構びっくりした😆）

For my drink, I ordered white wine, and the waiter opened the wine cork in front of me, smelled the cork, and swirled the wine glass to check the color.

コルクを回してから「好きかどうか一口飲んでみて」と言われて一口味見．

After turning the cork, I was asked to take a sip and see if I liked it.

甘すぎず，辛すぎない白ワインだったので，とても美味しかったです．

It was a white wine that wasn't too sweet or spicy, so it was very delicious.

Day4：帰宅　returning home

飛行機は午前中出発だったので朝起きてすぐにバスで空港へ向かいました．

The plane was leaving in the morning, so I woke up in the morning and immediately took the bus to the airport.

ミラノ空港の荷物検査はとても甘かったです(笑)

Baggage inspection at Milan airport was very lenient.

液体をチェックされなかったので，多分水が入っていても没収されなかったのではないかと思います！

They didn't check the liquid, so I think it probably wouldn't have been confiscated even if it had water in it.

イタリア一人旅いい経験になりました．次はローマとピサの斜塔へも行ってみたいです🫶🏻

Traveling to Italy alone was a great experience. Next time I would like to go to Rome and the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

【No.8-3】ドイツ・ルクセンブルク・ベルギーの旅 sightseeing in Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium

ベルギー　Belgium

４日目はルクセンブルクを早朝に出発し，ブリュッセルへ向かいました．

On the fourth day, we left Luxembourg early in the morning and headed for Brussels.

ベルギーワッフル🧇🧇🧇belgian waffles

ベルギーに来たら絶対に食べたかったワッフル！

Waffles that I decided to eat when I came to Belgium.．

ブリュッセルに到着すると，至る所にワッフル・チョコレート屋さんがズラリと並んでいるのが目に入ります．

When I arrived in Brussels, I saw a row of waffle and chocolate shops everywhere.

どのお店も美味しそうなので，目に入ったお店に飛び込みました．

Every shop looked delicious, so I jumped into the shop that caught my eye.

たくさんのオプションがある中で，私は中にトッピングを入れられるタイプの形を選びました．いちごとチョコレートを追加．

Among the many options, I chose the type of shape that can be filled with toppings.
I added strawberries and chocolate.

日本で菓子パンコーナーに売っているワッフルはサクサクですが，本場のワッフルはもっちもち🧇🧇

The waffles sold in sweet bread corners in Japan are crispy, but the authentic waffles were chewy.

イチゴの酸味とワッフルの甘さが相性抜群で，とても美味しかったです！

The sourness of the strawberries and the sweetness of the waffles were a perfect match, and it was soooo good!

小便小僧ジュリアン君　Juliaanske

お腹が満たされたところで，地元の方々に「ジュリアン坊や」として親しまれている小便小僧を見に行きました．

With my stomach full, I went to see Manneken Pis, who is affectionately known to the locals as  ”Juliaanske”.

なぜこんなに人気なのか歴史を調べてみると...

I wondered why it was so popular, so I looked into its history. Then．．

所説ありますが，一番有力なのは「反政府軍がブリュッセルを爆破しようとしかけた爆弾の導火線に小便をかけて消し、町を救った少年がいた」という武勇伝説らしいです．There There are some theories, but the most convincing one is the legend of bravery, ``There was a boy who saved the city by urinating on the fuse of the bomb that the anti-government forces were about to blow up in Brussels''.

他にもいろいろと面白い話が載っていたのでどれが本当なのやらよく分からないですが．．．

There were many other interesting stories, so I'm not sure which one is true.

とても人気なジュリアン君の周りには観光客がカメラを片手にツーショットをしていました．

Around the very popular Juliaanske, tourists were taking two shots with cameras in one hand.

お土産屋さんもジュリアン君で埋め尽くされています．

The souvenir shop is also filled with Juliaanske． 

私も一体連れて帰り，写真も撮ってきました📷✨

I took one home with me and took some pictures.

ちなみに，小便犬と小便少女（ジャネケピスJeanneke Pis）もブリュッセルにおられます．ジェネケピスちゃんはジュリアン君とはグランプラスを挟んだ反対側に位置しているようです．

By the way, Pissing Dog and Pissing Girl (Jeanneke Pis) are also in Brussels. Jenekepis seems to be on the opposite side of the Grand Place from Julien.

私はこの旅を通して初めて存在を知りました．小便少女はレストランのオーナーが客引きのために制作されたようです．

It was through this trip that I first learned of their existence. It seems that the piss girl was created by the owner of the restaurant to attract customers.

世界文化遺産グランプラス広場

World Cultural Heritage Grand Place Square

グランプラス広場は”レ・ミゼラブル”の著者であるヴィクトル・ユゴーが「世界で最も美しい広場」と称賛したことで有名であり，1998年に世界文化遺産に登録されています．

Place de la Grand Place is famous for being praised as "the most beautiful square in the world" by Victor Hugo, the author of "Les Miserables", and was registered as a World Heritage Site in 1998.

グランプラス広場の美しさは写真では表現できないです!!

Pictures cannot express the beauty of this square.

360度歴史的建造物に囲まれており，どの建物も見どころ満載です．

Surrounded by historical buildings 360 degrees, every building is full of highlights

12世紀頃からブリュッセルの政治・経済の中心として栄えてきた場所らしいです．

It seems to have flourished as the political and economic center of Brussels since the 12th century.

広場内のブリュッセル市立博物館（王の家）には実物の小便小僧が展示されており，1000着ほどの衣装もあるようです．

In the Brussels City Museum (King's House) in the square, a real Manneken Pis is displayed, and it seems that there are about 1000 costumes.

ムール貝とベルギービール Mussels and belgian beer

１鍋目

ベルギーで有名な料理といえば，ムール貝を白ワインで蒸した鍋料理．

A famous Belgian dish is a hot pot dish of steamed mussels in white wine.

これがお酒に合うんです．

This dish went very well with alcohol.

私たちは，お鍋２杯分頂きました．１回目はノーマルなもの．

２杯目はニンニクが効いたもの．

We got two pots. The first time is normal.

The second cup is the one with garlic.

おかげでお腹がいっぱいになりました．

My stomach is full.

ポテトは頼まなくてもついてきます．

The potatoes came with it even if I didn't ask for it.

カニクリームコロッケもとても美味しかったです．

Crab cream croquette was also very delicious.

私の大好きなYoutuber「バイリンガルちか」さんが入っていたお店だと思います．

ちかさんが訪れた場所に行けて感動でした．

I think it's the shop where my favorite Youtuber "Bilingual Chika" was in.

I was moved by being able to go to the places that Chika visited.

チョコレート Chocolate

電車の時間が迫っていたので，そこまでゆっくり見れませんでしたが，ベルギーはチョコレート好きにはたまらなかったです．

I didn't get to see it that far because the time for the train was approaching, but Belgium was irresistible for chocolate lovers.

一粒一粒ショーケースに飾ってあるチョコレートを見ているだけでワクワクします．

Just looking at the chocolates displayed in the showcase one by one made me feel excited.

時間もなく優柔不断なので結局1つのお店だけで我慢しました．

I was indecisive because I didn't have much time, so I ended up with only one shop.

ブリュッセルは６時間ほどしかいられませんでしたが，大満足でした．

Brussels is 6 I could only stay in Brussels for about 6 hours, but I was very satisfied. I could only stay for about an hour, but I was very satisfied.

今度は「フランダースの犬」が舞台になったオランダ寄りの地方に行ってみたいです．

Next time, I would like to go to a region close to Holland where "A Dog of Flanders" was set.

４日目はブリュッセルから電車に乗り，フランクフルトに戻りました．

On the fourth day, I took the train from Brussels and returned to Frankfurt.

そういえばベルギーで見かけた観覧車，窓がなく人がむき出しになっていて驚きました．回転も日本のものより速かったです．．🎡

 I was surprised to see a Ferris wheel in Belgium that had no windows and people were exposed. The rotation was also faster than the Japanese one.

再びドイツ Germany again

５日目はフランクフルトに再び戻ってきて，ゆっくり観光しました．

On the 5th day, I came back to Frankfurt and took a leisurely sightseeing tour.

シュテーデル美術館 Städel Museum

フランクフルトにはマイン川に沿ってたくさんの博物館や美術館があります．

Frankfurt has many museums and art galleries along the Main river.

その中で私たちは「シュテーデル美術館」へ行くことにしました．

Among them, we decided to go to the "Stedel Museum".

３時間ほどはいましたが，それでも足りないほど素敵な絵画がたくさんありました．

We were there for about three hours, but there were so many wonderful paintings that it wasn't enough.

昼からビールとソーセージ　Beer and sausage from noon

ビールとソーセージのためにドイツにやってきたので，昼から飲みました．

I came to Germany for beer and sausage, so I drank it from noon.

マイン川が見えるテラスで昼からのお酒は最高でした．

Beer from noon on the terrace overlooking the Main River was the best.

鉄の橋　Eiserner Steg

鉄の橋を渡って次の目的地へ．

Cross the Eiserner Steg to the next destination.

橋には南京錠がかかっていましたが，その意味はよくわかりません．．．

There were many padlocks on the bridge, but I don't know what they mean.

レーマ広場　Römerberg

歴史的な雰囲気漂うレーマ広場．

Rhema Square has a historical atmosphere.

ドイツのイメージに一致したとてもかわいらしい場所でした．調べてみると，「レーマー」とは「ローマ人」を指し，写真には写っていませんが，反対側にある旧市庁舎はローマ人が所有していたようです．

It's very cute place. After researching it, I found out that "Römer" means "Roman", and although it is not shown in the photo, the Old City Hall on the opposite side seems to have been owned by the Romans.

朝，８時ごろに散歩したのですが人が少ないのでおすすめです．

I took a walk around 8 o'clock in the morning, but it is recommended because there are few people.

お昼ごろから夜にかけてはたくさんの観光客でにぎわっていました．

再びビールとソーセージ beer and sausage again

レーマ広場ではテラス席のお店がたくさん並んでいます．

At Rhema Square, there are many shops with terrace seats.

せっかくなので入ることに．

I decided to enter.

私たちは，ソーセージの盛り合わせと黒ビールを頼みました．

We ordered a sausage platter and dark beer.

私はまだビールの美味しさが分からないガキんちょなので普通のビールは飲みません．

I'm still a kid who doesn't know how good beer tastes, so I don't drink regular beer.

ただ，ドイツのビールは飲めちゃったんです．

However, I could drink German beer.

苦みが少なくて飲みやすいです．

It has little bitterness and is easy to drink.

色々な大きさ，味のソーセージが一度に楽しめてとても良かったです🍺🍺🍺🍽️

It was great to be able to enjoy sausages of various sizes and flavors all at once.

アイス🍦ice cream

お酒を飲んでから食後のデザートにすぐ近くで売られていたアイスを頂きました．

After drinking alcohol, I had an ice cream sold nearby as a dessert after the meal.

コーヒーとオレンジ味．さっぱりしていておいしかったです．

Coffee and orange flavor. It was refreshing and delicious.

クラインマルクトハレ市場 Kleinmarkthalle

市場には見たことないソーセージがズラリと並んでいました．

Sausages that I have never seen in the market were lined up.

流石ドイツ．すべてを少しずつ味見してみたいですね．．😍

As expected of Germany. I would like to taste a little bit of everything.

大聖堂  Kaiserdom St. Bartholomäus

様々な国の教会や大聖堂を見てみて，どの街でも存在感が大きい建物であることが多いなと感じます．中に入るとそれぞれの雰囲気も少し違って面白いです．

After seeing churches and cathedrals in various countries, I feel that there are many buildings that have a strong presence in any city. Once inside, the atmosphere is a little different and interesting.

ドイツのスーパー　German grocery store

どの国のスーパーマーケットも私にとっては観光名所で，ドイツのスーパーにはソーセージの種類がたくさんありました．ビールはやっぱり水より安かったです．笑

Grocery stores in every country are tourist attractions for me, and German supermarkets had many kinds of sausages. Beer was cheaper than water.

もちろんお土産に買っていきましたが，空港の保安検査で引っかかるのでは．．？と思って2つしか買いませんでしたが，余裕でスルーしました．

Of course, I purchased it as a souvenir, but it might get caught in the airport security check. . ? I only bought two because of that, but I passed them with ease.

ちなみに保安検査では日焼け止めを没収されました．笑

Incidentally, the sunscreen was confiscated at the security check.

ゲーテハウス　Goethe house

誰もが一度は耳にしたことがある「ゲーテ」さん．

"Goethe" that everyone has heard at least once．

1749年8月28日にドイツのフランクフルトの裕福な家庭に生まれたらしいです．

He was born on 28 August, 1749 in Frankfurt, Germany, into a wealthy family.

そのゲーテさん家にお邪魔してきました．この時代で４階建ての家に住めるということは，相当裕福だったのだろうな．．．

I visited the Goethe house. Being able to live in a four-story house in this era must have been quite wealthy. .

と思いながら素敵なお家を探検しました．

I searched for a nice house while thinking like that.

おわりに in conclusion

ゲーテハウスを最後にして，駅から出発している高速バスに乗ってまた空港へ帰るのでした．

After visiting the Goethe House, I took an express bus departing from the station and headed back to the airport.

帰るときも少しハプニングがあり，時間が過ぎてもバスが来ないな，と思っていたら予約していたバスが違う場所出発だったのです．

On the way back, something happened, and when I thought that the bus hadn't come yet, it turned out that the bus I had reserved departed from a different place.

バスの運転手さんに違う場所からだけど乗れる？と聞いて飛び込むことになります．（笑）

「Can the bus driver get on from a different place?」 I was able to ride after hearing that.

なんだかんだで無事空港に到着し，家まで帰れました．

Somehow I arrived safely at the airport and was able to go home.

４泊５日の旅は素敵な景色をたくさん見たり，色々な経験ができてよかったです．

During the 4 nights and 5 days trip, I was able to see a lot of wonderful scenery and have various experiences.

想像していた国の雰囲気と違ったり，言語の壁を感じながらもなんとか伝えようと表現したり，現地の人の身のこなし方を確認したり学ぶことがたくさんありました．

The atmosphere of the country was different from what I had imagined, and even though I felt the language barrier, I tried to express myself somehow.

これからももっと色々な場所へ行き，自分の感性や世界を磨いていきたいと思います．

From now on, I would like to go to more places and refine my sensibilities and the world.

移動　Moving

旅行３日目はフランクフルト中央駅から電車でルクセンブルクへ移動しました．

On the third day of the trip, I moved to Luxembourg by train from Frankfurt Central Station.

そういえば，驚いたことがここでもありました．

Come to think of it, there was something that surprised me here as well.

ドイツ・ルクセンブルク・ベルギーでは電車に乗るとき改札がないんです🚊

In Germany, Luxembourg, and Belgium, there are no ticket gates when boarding trains.

電車で移動している最中に駅員さんが，チケットを見回りに来るのです．

While you are traveling by train, station staff will come to look around for tickets.

タダ乗りできてしまうのでは．．？が，バレたら罰金なのでちゃんと買いました．

Everyone can ride for free. . ? However, if it is found out, it will be fined, so I bought it properly.

ルクセンブルクは人口約62万人強，面積は日本の神奈川県と同じくらいの小さな国．

Luxembourg is a small country with a population of over 620,000 and an area as small as Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan.

しかし，国民一人当たりのGDPが世界一の裕福な国らしいのです！

However, it seems that GDP per capita is the richest country in the world!

一番驚いたのは，公共交通機関はすべて無料ということ‼

The most surprising thing is that all public transportation is free!

どれだけ電車に乗ってもバスに乗っても無料！ルクセンブルク凄い！

No matter how many trains or buses you ride, it's free! Luxembourg is astonished!

初めてルクセンブルクへ行ったのですが，のどかでとても素敵な国でした．

もはや住みたい🏠

ノートルダム大聖堂　Cathédrale Notre-Dame

ルクセンブルク駅(☞Google マップ）に到着してからまず向かったのはノートルダム大聖堂‼

After arriving at Luxembourg Station, the first thing we headed for was Notre Dame Cathedral!

ステンドグラスがとても綺麗でした．

The stained glass was so beautiful.

「ノートルダム」と名前が着く場所は他にもベルギーやフランス・カナダにあり，フランス語で”私たちの貴婦人”という意味らしいです．

There are other places named "Notre Dame" in Belgium, France and Canada, and it seems to mean "our lady" in French.

聖母マリア様を指すんですって．（ノートルダム聖堂 - Wikipediaより）

The word refers to the Virgin Mary.

カフェで雨宿り　take shelter from the rain at the cafe

次にどこに行こうか．．と悩んでいると（無計画）雨が降ってきてしまったので，見かけたカフェで雨宿り．

Where should we go next...? When I was worried about it, it started to rain (unplanned), so I took shelter from the rain at a cafe I saw.

私はコーヒーはブラックで飲む派なのですが，相方は普段水しか飲まないのでカプチーノでさえ苦かったらしく．．爆笑でした．

I tend to drink coffee black, but my friend normally only drinks water, so even the cappuccino was bitter. . I burst out laughing.

コーヒーについてくるお菓子も美味しかったです☟

The sweets that came with the coffee were also delicious.

まさかの爆買い　bought too much

行き先を決めずに，てくてくと歩いていると，本屋さんを発見．

I found a bookstore when I was walking around without deciding where to go.

本が大好きなので立ち寄ってみると，なんと漫画がずらりと並んでいました‼📚😮

I love books, so when I stopped by, I found a lot of comics lined up!

しかも面白いことに，ドイツ語とフランス語の両方があり，「スパイファミリー」と「ハイキュー！！」と「コナン」をどちらの言語とも購入してしまいました．笑

What's more, interestingly, there are both German and French, and I bought "Spy Family", "Haikyu!!"

ルクセンブルクの方々はドイツ語・フランス語・ルクセンブルク語の３か国語が話せるらしく，観光地での説明文やバスの地名の表示はドイツ語とフランス語の両方が書かれています．

People in Luxembourg seem to be able to speak German, French, and Luxembourgish, and explanations at sightseeing spots and names of places on buses are written in both German and French.

実際ルクセンブルク市を観光していてほとんどの店員さんはフランス語を話していたと思います．

Actually, I think that most of the salesclerks were speaking French when I was sightseeing in Luxembourg City.

私も真似して「Bonjour（ボンジュール）」と「merci（メルシー）」は言えました．これさえ使えればあとは何とかなった．笑

I was able to imitate and say "Bonjour" and "merci". As long as I can use this, I can manage the rest.

街の至る所に∫　There are ∫ marks everywhere in the city

首都ルクセンブルクの古い街並みと要塞群は、世界文化遺産に登録されています．

The old streets and fortifications of the capital city of Luxembourg are registered as World Heritage Sites.

高低差のある街なので少し疲れましたが，歩いているだけで街の景色にうっとりします☟

It's a city with a lot of elevation difference, so I'm a little tired, but I'm enchanted by the scenery just by walking.

If you pay attention to the building, can you see the "∫ (integral)" marks everywhere?

☝一つの建物だけではなくかなり多くの建物に取り付けられているんです．

誰が取り付けたんでしょう？意味を知りたい．．

ホテルでひと休み take a break at the hotel

坂道を降りたり，登ったりしてきたので流石に疲れてしまい，一旦ホテルに向かいチェックインしました．

After going down and up the slope, I got tired, so I headed to the hotel and checked in.

ホテルへはルクセンブルク駅から出ているバスを利用しました．

We took a bus from Luxembourg station to the hotel.

バスを待っている間，駅内にある素敵なパン屋さんでルクセンブルク名物のパンを購入．

While waiting for the bus, I bought Luxembourg specialty bread at a nice bakery in the station.

私が購入したパンは「Pâté au Riesling（パテ・オ・リースリング）」という豚肉のパテをパイ生地で包んで焼き、パテとパイ生地の間にリースリングのジュレを入れたものです．

The bread I bought is called "Pâté au Riesling", which is a pork patty wrapped in pie crust and baked, with Riesling gelée placed between the patty and the pie crust.

ルクセンブルクは白ワインの生産で有名らしく，ジュレには白ワインが含まれているのだとか．

Luxembourg is famous for producing white wine, and the gelee contains white wine.

パイの中にはお肉がぎっしりで味付けがしっかりとされていて，美味しかったです🥐🍞

The pie was packed with meat and seasoned well, and it was so good.

ホテルでシャワーを浴びたりと少し休憩をしてから，電車で移動してイタリアンレストランへ🍽️

After taking a short break such as taking a shower at the hotel, we moved to an Italian restaurant by train.

ほっぺたが落っこちてしまうほど，美味しかった！

It was so delicious that my cheeks fell down.

私は白ワインと魚介系の料理を注文しました🍴🥑

I ordered white wine and a seafood dish.

ホテルでパンを食べてきたので，デザートは注文しなかったのですが，ウェイターさんにデザートの注文を断ると，数分後にまさかのデザートをサービスで提供してくれました💐🫶🏻

Since I ate bread at the hotel, I didn't order dessert, but when I refused the dessert order to the waiter, a few minutes later he offered me a dessert as a service 💐🫶🏻

これがサービスってどういうことでしょう．．笑

生クリームは苦手なのですが，このデザートは食べられました！

I don't like fresh cream, but I was able to eat this dessert!

帰り際にシェフから「see you tomorrow!」と言われ，握手までしてくれました．なんでそんなに優しいのでしょうか．心がとっても裕福なルクセンブルクの方々．感謝です．

On the way back, the chef said, "See you tomorrow!" and even shook my hand. Why are you so kind? The people of Luxembourg are very wealthy at heart. Thank you.

ルクセンブルクは，東はドイツ、西と北はベルギー、南はフランスと3カ国と隣接しています．

Luxembourg borders Germany to the east, Belgium to the north and west, and France to the south.

そのため，３国の美味しい料理の影響を受けているためグルメマニアにとっても有名だそうです．

For that reason, it seems that it is famous among gourmets because it is influenced by the delicious cuisine of the three countries.

食事を終えて，無料の路面電車でホテルまで戻り次の日に備えて眠りました🚊🚊🕛

After eating, I took the free tram back to the hotel and slept for the next day.

【No.8-1】ドイツ・ルクセンブルク・ベルギーの旅に行ってきました！I went on a trip to Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium!

はじめに At first

2023年7月にフランクフルト・ルクセンブルク・ブリュッセルを巡る旅へ行って参りました🛫

In July 2023, I went on a trip around Frankfurt, Luxembourg, and Brussels.

どの街も魅力があって，とても楽しかったです．

Every town had its own charm, and I had a lot of fun.

今回の記事は，行った場所をまとめてみました．ぜひ最後までご覧ください．

ロンドン London

BFI IMAX

空港へ向かう前にロンドンで一泊しフライトに備えました．度々ブログにも挙げているようにロンドンへは何度か観光していますが，宿泊するのは初めてでした．

Before heading to the airport, I spent a night in London to prepare for my flight. As I often mention in my blog, I have visited London several times, but this was my first time staying there.

まず，イギリスで最も大きい映画館 (BFI IMAX☞Google マップ)で「ミッションインポッシブル」を拝見しました．

First of all, I watched "Mission Impossible", the largest movie theater in the UK.

IMAXはやっぱり迫力が凄かったです．普通の映画館でもいいかな，と思っていたのですが映画好きの先輩に「それはあかん」と止められて予約しました．笑

IMAX was really impressive. I thought it would be fine to go to a regular movie theater, but my senior, who loves movies, stopped me and made a reservation.

本当にごもっともでした．IMAXで見れて良かったです．

早くpart２が観たいのと，もう３回ほど観に行くと思います．

It was really great. It was great to see it in IMAX.

I want to see part 2 soon, and I think I'll go see it about three more times.

キングスクロス駅 King's Cross 

ウォータール駅から地下鉄で移動してキングスクロス駅まで行きました．

We took the subway from Waterloo Station to King's Cross Station.

お目当ては．．．ハリーポッターで有名な９と4分の３番線！☟

The target is . . Platform 9 and 3/4 famous from Harry Potter! 

写真と取るために待つこと約15分．平日だったせいからか，そこまで並んでいなかったです．

About 15 minutes waiting to take a picture. Maybe because it was a weekday, there weren't that many lines.

駅には各寮のカラーのマフラーが置いてあり，記念撮影をすることができます．

すぐ近くにお土産コーナーもあるのでとってもオススメ．

At the station, there is a muffler in the color of each dormitory, and you can take a commemorative photo.

There is also a souvenir shop nearby, so it is highly recommended.

確か高校２年生くらいの頃に金曜ロードショーで初めて「ハリーポッター」を拝見しました．

If I remember correctly, I saw "Harry Potter" for the first time at the Friday road show when I was in my second year of high school.

すぐに世界観に引き付けられて，しばらくは親友と魔法をかけあっていました．

写真取れて満足です．ハリーポッターの聖地巡りも今度してみたいと思います．

I was immediately drawn to the world view, and for a while I was casting spells with my best friend.

I am happy to take a picture. I would like to visit the Holy Land of Harry Potter next time.

大英博物館 The British Museum

次は徒歩で，大英博物館まで行きました‼一日では回り切れないほど大きいです．

Next, we walked to the British Museum! It's so buge that you can't go around it in a day.

次の予定もあったので，少しの間しか見れませんでしたが，無料で入場できるのでまたゆっくりと見学しようと思います．

I had other plans, so I could only see it for a short time, but since it's free to enter, I think I'll take my time to see it again.

美容院 haircut

髪の毛が伸びてきてしまい，色もだいぶ根元が目立ってきたので染めに行きました．

My hair has grown longer and the color at the roots has become more conspicuous, so I went to dye it.

何度も染めるのが面倒になってきたので，かなり暗い色にしました．

I got tired of dyeing it over and over again, so I chose a darker color.

またまた，日系の美容院を利用しました✂️✂️

I used a Japanese beauty salon.

ロンドンは日本では見れないような迫力があって素敵なデザインの建物がたくさんあるので，つい徒歩で移動したくなります．

London has a lot of powerful and wonderfully designed buildings that you can't see in Japan, so you can't help but want to move around on foot.

パブでフィッシュアンドチップス fish and chips in the pub

実はパブでフィッシュアンドチップスを食べたのはこの日が初めて．大きさにびっくりしました．

Actually, this was the first time I ate fish and chips at a pub. I was astonished by the size.

私の手より大きかったです．味はもちろん美味しい．

It was bigger than my hand. The taste is of course delicious.

イギリスの料理って不味いイメージがある方多いですが，不味かったことは今のところございません．

Many people have a bad image of British food, but I haven't had a bad experience so far.

ホテル Hotel

ホテルはロンドン中心街を予約しました．なぜなら夜まで飲みたかったから☆

We booked a hotel in central London. because I wanted to drink until night.

フロントにコーヒーが置いてあり，充電しながら作業できるスペースがあったので朝ゆったりとできました．

There was coffee at the front desk, and there was a space where I could work while charging, so I was able to relax in the morning.

朝は少し早く起きて１時間ほどケンジントン・ガーデンズへ向かって散歩をしました．

I got up a little early in the morning and took a walk to Kensington Gardens for about an hour.

いつもは夜散歩するのが好きなのですが，旅行中は朝散歩するのが好きです．

I usually like to take a walk at night, but I like to take a walk in the morning while traveling.

朝から犬の散歩やランニング・日向ぼっこしに来る人がたくさんいらっしゃいました．

Many people came to walk their dogs, run, and bask in the sun in the morning.

散歩の帰りにバスが自動車に衝突しているのを目撃しました🚌

I witnessed a bus collide with a car on the way home from a walk.

ドイツ上陸　Landing in Germany

空港の屋台でソーセージ Würstchen an Flughafenständen

ホテルを出発し，スタンステッド空港へ電車で向かいました．

We left the hotel and took the train to Stansted Airport.

スタンステッド空港へは飛行機が出発する３時間前には到着していたので，かなり余裕をもって搭乗できました．

I arrived at Stansted Airport three hours before the departure of the plane, so I was able to board with plenty of time to spare.

スタンステッド空港内だけでもかなり楽しめました．

I had a lot of fun just at Stansted Airport.

そして，スタンステッド空港からフランクフルトハーン空港まで飛行機で移動✈️

Then fly from Stansted Airport to Frankfurt Hahn Airport.

飛行機が大好きなので，一時間半はあっという間の空の旅でした．

I love airplanes, so the one-and-a-half hour flight flew by.

今回利用した空港はフランクフルト中心地から少し離れている場所にあったので，高速バスを利用して移動しました．

The airport I used this time was a little far from the center of Frankfurt, so I took a highway coach to get there.

空港に到着してからすぐにホテルに向かおうとしたのですが，まさかのバスの予約を間違え，違う場所からの出発になっていました💦

I tried to go to the hotel immediately after arriving at the airport, but I made a mistake in booking the coach and it departed from the wrong place.

バス会社の人に聞いてみると，「いいよ，乗れるよ．」と言っていたので，安心してバスが来るまで待っていました．

When I asked the person from the bus company, they said, "It's okay, I can get on."

朝ごはんはスーパーで購入したフルーツしか食べていなかったので，空港前の屋台でソーセージを頂きました！味は言うまでもなく，美味しかったです．

For breakfast, I only ate fruits I bought at the M&S, so I had sausages at the stall in front of the airport! Needless to say, the taste was delicious.

食べかけでごめんなさい．本当はもっと大きかったです．

そういえば，空港にコアラのマーチが販売されていました‼

Come to think of it," koalanomarches"(which is one of the famous Japanese snack) were sold at the airport.

少しお高めのコアラのマーチ🐨

チェックインでプチハプニング Kleines Geschehen beim Check-in

今回のドイツに来た目的は，ビールとソーセージを楽しむため．笑

The purpose of coming to Germany this time is to enjoy beer and sausage.

空港からホテルまで無事到着し，まずはホテルにチェックイン．

Arrive at the hotel from the airport and check-in at the hotel.

ホテルのチェックインはタッチパネル式で，名前を入力すればすぐにできるはずだったのですが何度入力してもできない．．．

Hotel check-in is a touch panel type, and I should have been able to do it immediately by entering my name, but I can't do it no matter how many times I enter it. . .

「予約できました」というメールがきちんと届いていたので，そんなはずはないとスタッフの人に相談して粘ること約40分．

I received an e-mail stating that I was able to make a reservation.

It took about 40 minutes to talk to the staff that it couldn't be like that.

「苗字は正しいのに，下の名前がDaigoになってるよ！Daigoで入力し直してみて．」とスタッフさんが気づいて一件落着．

She found that"My last name is correct, but my last name is Daigo! " and she saied"Try re-entering Daigo."finally, it was resolved.

なぜDaigoで予約されていたのかは迷宮入りです．

It is a mystery why it was reserved by Daigo.

しかし，このハプニングのおかげでスタッフの方とはすっかり仲良しになりました．

However, thanks to this incident, I became good friends with the staff.

ソーセージとビール Wurst und Bier

ドイツと言えば．．．ソーセージとビール‼

Speaking of Germany. . . Sausage and beer!!

ホテルにチェックインしてから荷物を置いて，すぐにソーセージとビール探しに行きました．

After checking in at the hotel, I left my luggage and immediately went looking for sausages and beer.

最初に入ったパブでは残念ながらソーセージが売っていなかったのですが，現地で有名なアップル酒を飲むことができました🍺

Unfortunately, the first pub I entered didn't sell sausages, but I was able to drink the famous local apple wine.

これだけでは足りず，どうしてもソーセージが食べたいと街を散策．

This wasn't enough, so I wanted to eat some sausages, so I strolled around town.

ですが，この時点ですでに夜の9時半ほどだったので閉店時間近くのお店ばかりでした．

However, it was already about 9:30 at this point, so all the shops were close to closing time.

なので，レストランによってテイクアウトをしました．

So I ordered takeout from the restaurant.

お酒も買ってホテル飲みを楽しみました．街を歩いていると，「こんにちは」と挨拶してくれる気さくなドイツ人の方々．

I bought alcohol and enjoyed drinking at the hotel. Friendly Germans who greeted me "Hello" when I was walking down the street.

たまに「ニーハオ你好」と言ってくる．笑

Occasionally, I was greeted with "ni hao".

ドイツ人の方，本当に優しいです．ドイツ人に限らず，皆さんレディーファーストの精神が凄い．扉を開けてくれるのは当たり前だし，列に並んでいるとお先にどうぞと言ってくれる人も多々あります．

German people are very kind. It's not just Germans, everyone has a great lady-first mentality. It's only natural for someone to open the door for you, and when you're standing in line, there are many people who ask you to go first.

ソーセージだけでいいのですが，いつもジャガイモとパンがセットで来る．．．

Sausage alone is fine, but it always comes with potatoes and bread. . .

食事に満足してこの日はよく眠れました😪

I was satisfied with my meal and slept well that day．

今回の旅行では飛行機を往復便で購入したため，ドイツ☞ルクセンブルク☞ベルギー☞ドイツとぐるっと一周してきました．なので再びドイツが登場しますのでお楽しみに．

On this trip, I bought a round-trip flight, so I went around Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, and Germany. So, Germany will appear again, so please look forward to it.

【No.7】購入して１ヶ月も経たないうちに車が故障しました🚘

MINI

人生初車を購入しました‼

I bought my first car in my life!!

以前働いていたアルバイト先の先輩の方がMINIに乗っているのを見てから，

絶対いつかMINIに乗りたいと憧れるようになりました．

After seeing a senior at my previous part-time job riding a MINI,

I've come to yearn to ride a MINI someday.

そして，運が良いことに安くMINIを譲っていただけることになりました🚘

And luckily, I was able to give away my MINI inexpensively.

前にも記事にしましたが，英国の方はビュンビュン飛ばして運転するので今年免許を取得した初心者の私はびくびくしながら公道を走っています．

As I mentioned in my previous article, people in the UK drive with a bang.

最近は慣れてきて私も60mile出せるようになりました(`･ω･´)

Recently, I've gotten used to it, and I'm now able to run 60 miles.

ちなみにイギリスの初心者マークは「P」というステッカーを貼ります☟

By the way, the beginner's mark in the UK puts a "P" sticker.

これを貼っておけば，優しく譲ってくれます．（たぶん）

If you stick this on, they will kindly give it to you. (perhaps)

「L」は仮運転免許中のマークだそうです．

"L" is a mark of a provisional driver's license.

ランドアバウトroundabout

運転していて一番困っているのは，ランドアバウト．

The most annoying thing about driving is the roundabout.

どのような道かというと．．．☟こんな感じでぐるぐるとしています．☟

What kind of road is it? . . It's spinning like this

ランドアバウトに入るときは基本的に右から来る車が優先ですが，それを知らずにランドアバウト内に侵入したらクラクション鳴らされて，めっちゃ怒られました．．(._.)

When entering a roundabout, basically the car coming from the right has priority, but if you enter the roundabout without knowing this, you will be honked and get very angry.

当たり前か．．．

It was a matter of course.

それから，運転していて感じているのは道路があまり整備されていないなと感じています．

Also, what I feel while driving is that the roads are not well maintained.

排水溝？のあたりはコンクリートが水平に塗装されておらず道がぼこぼこしています．それが原因でタイヤがパンクしている方もいました．

Concrete is not painted horizontally around the drain, and the road is bumpy. Some people had punctured tires because of it.

故障！？breakdown

車の運転も慣れ始めて１ヶ月が経ったある日の仕事帰り，「さて家に帰ろう」と思ってエンジンをかけようとすると．．．「あれ？エンジンがかからない(*‘∀‘)」

One month after I started to get used to driving a car, I thought, "Let's go home," and tried to start the engine. . . "Huh? The engine won't start (* '∀')"

購入する前に，同僚の方々が「MINIは壊れるからやめた方がいいよ．日本車がオススメ．」と反対されたのを思い出しました．

Before I bought it, I remembered that my colleagues objected, saying, "You should stop using the MINI because it will break. Japanese cars are recommended."

車に詳しい方にも見てもらったのですが，原因が分からず．．

I had someone who knows a lot about cars look at it, but they didn't understand the cause.

仕方なく地元のガレージに電話して修理してもらいました．かなり出費をしてしまいました．

I had no choice but to call the local garage to have it repaired. I have spent a lot.

現在はもう既に修理が終わりドライブを楽しんでいますがまた故障がないことを祈っています．

親知らずが腫れて痛かったので，先日イギリスの歯医者さんへ治療を受けに行きました．

My wisdom teeth were swollen and painful, so I went to a dentist in England the other day for treatment.

レントゲンを撮ってもらったのですが，親知らずが原因ではないと思う．

たぶん細菌が入ったんだよ．

I had an X-ray taken, but the doctor said, "I don't think it's caused by my wisdom teeth. It's probably because of bacteria."

と言われて，薬を飲んでしばらく様子を見ています．

I'm taking medicine now and will see how things go.

ちなみにイギリスの歯医者さんは個室になっていて，とても綺麗でした！

Anyway, the dentist in England has a private room and it was very clean!
