はじめに
新年あけましておめでとうございます(`･ω･´)
Happy new year!!
5ヶ月ぶりの投稿となってしまいましたが，なんとか生きております．
It's been five months since my last post, but I'm still alive somehow.
実は９月の中旬に体調を崩しておりました．
味覚・嗅覚がなくなってしまったのでコロナに感染してしまったのだと思います．
In fact, I was ill in the middle of September .
I lost my sense of taste and smell . so, probably I think I was infected with COVID-19.
イギリス人は病院に行かないらしく，現地の方に習って薬局の薬だけで直しました．
The English don't seem to go to the hospital, so I took a lesson from the locals and felt better using only medicines from the pharmacy.
イギリスで風邪薬といったら「レムシップ」．お湯に溶かして飲むレモン味の風邪薬です．この風邪薬だけでコロナ治しました👍
"LEMSIP" is the UK's cold medicine of choice.
It is a lemon-flavoured cold remedy that is dissolved in hot water ... This cold medicine alone cured my physical condition .
しばらくは味覚・嗅覚が戻らずに苦しんでいましたが，同僚の方から「亜鉛飲むといいよ．」とアドバイスを頂き亜鉛を飲み続けたところやっと食べ物を美味しく味わえるようになってきました．
For a while I suffered from a lack of taste and smell, but a colleague advised me to take zinc. I continued to take zinc and was finally able to taste food.
今回は8月30日～9月5日に行った6泊7日のヨーロッパ旅行の記録を残しておきます．
In this issue, we leave a record of our 6-night/7-day trip to Europe, which took place from 30 August to 5 September.

オーストリアでプチオーケストPetit Orchestra in Austria
通りかかった道☝the way one passes
まず１日目はイギリスからオーストリアの首都ウィーンへ移動しました🛫
The first day was spent travelling from the UK to Vienna, the Austrian capital.
飛行時間は２時間くらいだったので，映画を堪能しました．
The flight lasted about two hours, so I enjoyed the film.
オーストリアに関連した映画がないかな，と思い探していると「マリーアントワネット」を見つけたのでHuluでダウンロードして拝見しました☟
I was looking for a film related to Austria and found 'Marie-Antoinette', which I downloaded and watched on Hulu(which is Japanese app like Netflix).
マリーアントワネットはフランツ1世とマリアテルジアとの間にウィーンで生まれた王女ということをこの映画を拝見して初めて知りました．
It was only after watching this film that I learnt that Marie-Antoinette was a princess born in Vienna to Franz I and Maria Theresa.
ウィーン観光の一番の目的は幼少期にマリーアントワネットが暮らしていたシェーンブルン宮殿だったので映画で予習することでより楽しめました．
The main purpose of the visit to Vienna was to see Schönbrunn Palace, where Marie-Antoinette lived as a child, so learning about it from the film made it even more enjoyable.
空港に到着してすぐお腹がすいていたので腹ごしらえへ．
I was hungry as soon as I arrived at the airport, so I went to get something to eat .
オーストリアで有名なシュニッツェルをワインと一緒に頂きました．それからビーフシチューも頼みました．お肉がほろほろで味がしみていてとても美味しかったです．
We had the famous Austrian schnitzel with wine. We also ordered beef stew. The meat was very tasty, tender and full of flavour.
おまけでついてくる丸いパンもモチモチしていてビーフシチューによく合いました☟
The round bread that came as an extra was also chewy and went well with the beef stew.
その後，日が沈んできたので散歩をしながらぶらぶらと観光しました．
Afterwards, as the sun was setting, we went for a walk and did some sightseeing.
海外ドラマで登場したのを見たことがあるシュテファン大聖堂を見れました💒
とても迫力があって驚きました．
I saw St. Stephen's Cathedral, which I had seen in a foreign drama 💒.
It was very powerful and amazing .
大聖堂を出てウロウロしていると，オーケストラを経営している男性に声を掛けられました．
As I wandered out of the cathedral, I was approached by the man who runs the orchestra.
明日うちの団体のオーケストラがあるから見に来ない？18歳以下の料金でいいよ．と言われ，観に行くことに．
He said that "Tomorrow we have an orchestra, why don't you come and see it? "
And then, I would go and see it.
大きな会場で演奏されるオーケストラは９月以降の公演なので見れないなぁ．．と落ち込んでいたのですが，少し小さめのコンサートでも見ることができてよかったです．
I was depressed that I couldn't see the orchestra playing in a big venue as they only perform from September onwards... I was depressed, but I was glad to be able to see a slightly smaller concert.

どの曲も誰もが一度は耳にしたことのあるような有名なものばかりで迫力のある生演奏に鳥肌が立ちました．
All the songs are well-known ones that everyone has listened at least once, and the powerful live performance gave me goosebumps.
そして食後のデザートにザッハトルテを．とても有名なお店らしく昼間にお店の前を通ったときは行列ができていましたが，私たちが行ったのは夕方だったのですぐに入れました🍰☕
And a Sachertorte (which is a chocolate cake from Austria named after the man who invented it, Franz Sacher) for dessert after dinner. It seems to be a very famous shop and there was a queue when we passed by the shop in the afternoon, but we went in the evening so we were able to get in straight away!

甘党の私でも「あんまっっっ‼１つ食べれないかもな」となるほど甘かったです．笑
It was so sweet that even I, who has a sweet tooth, thought, "Oh no, I can't eat one of these..." .
もったいないので間食しましたが，２人で１つが丁度よかったな，と思いました．
I snacked on it because it was such a waste, but I thought that one for two was just right.

その後お土産屋さんを覗きながら散歩してホテルに戻りました．
Afterwards, I took a stroll through the souvenir shops and returned to the hotel .
ヨーロッパのホテルには冷房がついておらず，扇風機だけでした．さらにイタリアと同じくシャンプー・リンス・ボディソープはすべて同じ石鹸．(笑)
一週間髪の毛はバッサバサで旅する事になります．
Hotels in Europe do not have air-conditioning, only fans. Furthermore, as in Italy, the shampoo, conditioner and body soap were all the same soap.
I had to travel with my hair shagged for a week.
２日目は朝から歩いてシェーンブルン宮殿へ向かいました．
On the second day, we walked to Schönbrunn Palace in the morning.
ホテルから歩いて１時間くらいの場所に宮殿があったのですが，途中でたまたま通った公園がさまざまな音楽家の銅像が点々と建てられていました．
The palace was about an hour's walk from the hotel, but on the way there we happened to pass a park dotted with statues of various musicians.
中学の音楽の授業で印象的だった「魔王」の作曲家，シューベルトさんの銅像を見つけたときは知らない場所なのにもかかわらずどこか親しみを持てました☟
When I found a statue of Schubert, the composer of 'The Devil King', which made an impression on me in music class in junior high school, I felt a certain familiarity with the place, even though I didn't know it.
私はシューベルトの「鱒」が好きなのでしばらく宮殿に向かいながら流していました．
I like Schubert's 'Trout' so I played it for a while as I walked to the palace ...
ホテルから１時間ほど歩くとシェーンブルン宮殿に到着しました．
An hour's walk from the hotel brought us to Schönbrunn Palace.
宮殿の外見は黄色く塗装されていますが，これはマリアテルジアが好きだった色らしいです．本当は金箔をし要したかったらしいのですが，当時のオーストラリアは経済的に厳しかったらしく似た色の黄色が使用されました（調べた）！🤔
The exterior of the palace is painted yellow, which was apparently Maria Theresa's favourite colour. It is said that she would have liked to have used gold leaf, but Australia was in a difficult economic situation at the time and a similar yellow colour was used .

Tickets for the palace could be booked on the official website for admission.
入り口で音声ガイドをもらえるのですが，私たちは見逃してゲットできずに見学しました．
You can get an audio guide at the entrance, but we missed it and didn't get it.
この宮殿ではモーツァルトがマリーアントワネットに初めて会ったのにも関わらずプロポーズした場所としても有名らしいです．（２人とも幼少期の頃）
The palace is said to be famous as the place where Mozart proposed to Marie-Antoinette, even though it was the first time he met her.
(When they were both in their early years.)
とても広くてゆっくり見学していたら１時間ほどかかると思います．
It is so large that a leisurely tour would take about an hour.
宮殿の敷地は本当に広いので，現地の人々のランニングコースになっています．さらに，なんと動物園まであります🦒🦁🐼
The palace grounds are so large that they have become a running track for the locals. What's more, there is even a zoo!
宮殿から20分ほど歩いた場所にカフェがあるのでそこでお昼を頂きました．
There is a café about 20 minutes' walk from the palace where we had lunch ...
建物の上は展望台のようになっていて，見晴らしがとても良かったです．
The top of the building was like an observatory and the view was very good.

チェコの景色を堪能Enjoy the Czech landscape
３日目は早朝からバスでチェコへ向かいました．
バス停に向かう途中にたまたま大きい宮殿があり，立ち寄ってみました．
On the third day, we went to the Czech Republic by bus in the early morning.
On the way to the bus stop, we happened to stop by a large palace.
現地の人たちが朝６時ぐらいからランニングしていました．
Local people were running from about 6am .

宮殿内には世界的に有名なクリムトの作品が飾られているようです．
The palace seems to be decorated with works by the world-famous Klimt.
私の親友が美術専門なので，興味があり本屋で美術本を立ち読みしたりするのですがその時に印象的だったうちの一つの作品がクリムトの「接吻」．
I have a good friend who specialises in art ,so I ofetn check art books at a bookstore. And one of the interested was Klimt's "The Kiss".
こちらの作品をモチーフにしたお土産があちこちにありました．

バスにモニターがついていて飛行機のように映画が観れるようになっていたのでびっくりしました．
I was surprised to see that the buses were equipped with monitors so that you could watch films, just like on an aeroplane ...
チェコはプラハに１日だけしか観光しませんでしたが，大満足でした🤗🕶️
I only spent one day in Prague, but I was very satisfied with my visit to the Czech Republic.
５時間ほどバスに揺られているとチェコに到着しました．
After a five-hour bus ride, we arrived in the Czech Republic .
座りっぱなしだったので疲れてしまい，バスを降りてからすぐにスターバックスでお茶をしました．
I was so tired from all the sitting that I got off the bus and immediately went to Starbucks for a cup of tea.
チェコの景色はどこを撮っても素敵でした．
The Czech landscape was lovely wherever it was photographed .
到着してからはずっと散歩していました．
I've been walking ever since I arrived .
最初に向かったのは天文時計です．近くに馬車もあってタイムスリップしたみたいでした．
The first stop was the Astronomical Clock. There was a horse-drawn carriage nearby, so it was like stepping back in time.
There was also an opera house .
続いてミッションインポッシブの１番最初で登場するカレル橋へ行ってきました．
We then went to the Charles Bridge, which appears in the first of the Mission Impossibles.
Statues stood here and there on both sides of the bridge.
夕方に行ったときにはスムーズに歩けないくらいの人だらけでした．
When I went in the evening, there were so many people that I couldn't walk smoothly .
次の日は朝早く橋の上を散歩したのですが，その時はあまり人がいませんでした．写真撮るなら朝がオススメです．
The next day I took a walk on the bridge early in the morning and there were not many people there. Morning is the best time to take photos.
友達と合流してから夜ごはんを食べに行きました．
After meeting up with friends, we went for dinner .
チェコの伝統料理を調べてみると「豚の膝肉の丸焼き(ポークナックル)」が出てきたので，注文してみました．ワンピースのルフィーが食べていそうなお見た目．
When I looked up traditional Czech food, I found 'pork knuckle', so I ordered it. It looks like something Ruffy from One Piece(which is Japanese anime) would eat.
写真で見ても分かるようにとても美味しく，お酒にもあってすぐお腹いっぱいになりました．
As you can see from the photos, the food was very tasty, and with the drinks, we were soon full.
お肉の隅っこにあるのは小麦粉とジャガイモで作られたものです．とてもモチモチしていてお餅みたいで美味しかったです．
The corner of the meat is made of flour and potatoes ... . It was very chewy and tasted like rice cakes .
この量で合計738チェココロナでした．約3000円くらい．ちなみにチェコの通貨は「チェココロナ」です．１チェココロナは6.47円です．（2024年１月)
The total for this quantity was 738 CZK. About 3,000 yen. The currency of the Czech Republic is the Czech korona. 1 Czech korona is 6.47 yen. (January 2024)
その後，またチェコの街を散歩しながらホテルへ向かいました．

3日目はホテルに向かって終了！
と，言いたいところですが，ホテルチェックイン時に事件が．
Day 3 ends with a trip to the hotel!
But there was an incident when we checked in to the hotel...
ホテルに到着したのは７時ぐらいだったのですが，カウンターに誰もいない．．．
チェックインできないじゃん⁉とパニック．
I arrived at the hotel at around 7 o'clock and there was no one at the counter...
I panicked and thought, "I can't check in!
ネットでホテルの電話番号を調べ，どうやってチェックインするか尋ねることになります．
You will have to look up the hotel's telephone number online and ask how to check in.
一度オンラインで税金を払い，一回電話を切ってポストを開けるための４桁の番号を聞いて，何とか鍵をゲットできました🗝🔐
Once I paid the tax online, hung up once and asked for the four-digit number to open the post, I managed to get the key.
ホテルに到着したのに，約１時間ほどさまよっていた私たち．
We arrived at the hotel and wandered around for about an hour.
ホテルのお部屋はキッチンもついていて，とても広かったです．
もっと早く着きたかった・・・
The hotel room was very spacious with a kitchen.
I wish I had arrived earlier ...
４日目は早起きして，バス乗り場へ．その前に，また少しチェコの街を散策．
On the fourth day, we wake up early and go to the bus station. Before that, I had another short walk around the Czech Republic.
旅先では，朝早く起きて散歩をするのが好きです💃🏻
When travelling, I like to get up early in the morning and go for a walk.
あっという間に時間が過ぎ，ミュンヘン行きのバスへ．
In no time at all, time passes and you are on your way to the bus to Munich.
途中，ドイツとチェコのちょうど国境でサービスエリアのような場所に停車してくれました．日本のサービスエリアと似ていて食べ物も売っていました．私はサンドウィッチを購入してバスで食べました．
On the way, the train stopped at a place that looked like a service area. It was similar to a service area in Japan and sold food. I bought a sandwich and ate it on the bus.
嘘っぽく聞こえると思いますが，今まで食べたサンドウィッチの中で一番おいしかったです．
I know it sounds like a lie, but it was the best sandwich I've ever had.
ドイツでまたまたビール🍺Beer in Germany again
前回の旅行ではドイツのフランクフルトへ行きましたが，今回はミュンヘンへ行ってきました♪
On my last trip I went to Frankfurt, Germany, and this time I went to Munich.
プラハを出発してバスで移動したので到着したのは夕方ぐらいでした．移動で疲れてしまったのでホテルのすぐ下の階にあったスーパーへ行ってビールとおつまみを購入してホテル飲みをしました．
We left Prague and travelled by bus, so we arrived in the evening. I was tired from the journey, so I went to the supermarket just downstairs from the hotel, bought some beer and snacks and had a drink at the hotel.
ビールがとにかく安く，２瓶買いました🍺
The beer was so cheap that I bought two bottles.
４日目はゆっくり休むことができました．旅行中って一日２万歩くらい歩きますよね💦
On the fourth day, I was able to take a good rest . You walk about 20,000 steps a day when you are travelling, don't you?
特に私は歩くのが好きなのと，知らない土地を歩くのが好きなのでなるべく交通機関を使わないのでホテルに着くと毎日くたくたになります．
I especially like walking and I don't use transport as much as possible because I like walking and I like walking in unknown places, so I'm exhausted every day when I get to the hotel.

５日目は朝に出発して楽しみだったノイシュバンシュタイン城へ．
電車とバスを使って山のふもとまで向かいました．
On the fifth day, we left in the morning for Neuschwanstein Castle, which we were looking forward to.
We took the train and bus to the foot of the mountain.

ノイシュバンシュタイン城はフリードリヒ２世が娯楽のために建てたお城です．シンデレラ城のモデルになったとても有名なお城です🏰
Neuschwanstein Castle was built by Friedrich II for his amusement. This very famous castle was the model for Cinderella Castle.
ただ，そのお城に到着するまでには険しい坂を上らなければならず．．．
But we have to climb a steep hill to get to the castle.
途中で通り過ぎる馬車があったのですが，乗車にはかなりのお値段がかかるので頑張って登りました．
There were horse-drawn carriages that passed us on the way up, but the ride was quite expensive, so we worked hard to get up there.
城内では携帯型の日本語の音声ガイドを手渡され，イヤホンで聞きながら見学できるのでどのように使われていたのか勉強になりました．
Inside the castle, visitors were given a portable audio guide in Japanese, which they could listen to with earphones, so they could learn about how the castle was used.

早朝からお城へ向かったので，ずっとお腹ペコペコでした．
ふもとにレストランがあったのでそこで昼食を取りました♪🍺
We went to the castle early in the morning, so we were hungry the whole time.
There was a restaurant at the foot of the castle, so we had lunch there.

From the restaurant you can see the castle! It was great to take a meal with good air and beautiful views.

６日目はお昼からあの有名なホフブロイハウスでビールとソーセージを頬張りました．
On the sixth day, we started lunch with beer and sausages at the famous Hofbräuhaus.
ホフブロイハウスへ行く前においしそうなケーキがあったのでいただきました．
Before going to the Hofbräuhaus, we had some delicious-looking cakes .
ヨーロッパってブラックコーヒー頼むとこのくらいのミニサイズしか出てこなくないですか？量を取るとアメリカ―ノしかない気がします・・・💦In Europe, if you order a black coffee, don't you only get a mini size like this? I feel like the only way to get the right amount of coffee is to get an American-no.
私の見方が悪いのでしょうか⁇Am I looking at this the wrong way?

We have arrived at the Hofbräuhaus with the help of googlemap.
お店の中では常に生演奏されていて自然と楽しい気持ちになりました．
There was always live music in the shop, which naturally made me feel happy .
普段ビール派ではありませんが，今回ばかりはビールを注文．
メインのビールメニューは500mlか１Lジョッキしか選択肢かなく驚きました．
I'm not usually a beer drinker, but this time I ordered beer.
I was surprised to find that the main beer menu only offered 500ml and 1 litre mug options.

ホフブロイハウスのグッズも売っていました．１Lジョッキをお土産に欲しかったのですが，荷物になるため諦めました．
Hofbräuhaus goods were also on sale. I wanted to buy a 1-litre mug as a souvenir, but gave it up as it was too much luggage.
ちなみにお店では相席が普通で，私たちはアメリカから観光できたお客さんと相席になりました．
Incidentally, it is normal to share a table at the restaurant, and we shared a table with a tourist from the USA.
お酒を飲んだ後は，アイスが食べたくなりますよね⁇⁇
After drinking alcohol, you may want to eat ice cream.
アイス，食べました．とっても美味しかったです．
I had ice cream. It was very tasty.
無計画スロバキアUnplanned Slovak tourism
６日目の夜に夜行バスに乗ってスロバキアのブラチスラバまで移動しました．
On the evening of the sixth day, I travelled to Bratislava, Slovakia, by night bus.
Germany ☞ Vienna transfer ☞ Slovakia
友達と一緒に行ったのにも関わらず，帰りは飛行機を取り間違えてしまい，途中で別れました．笑
I went with a friend, but on the way back we took the wrong flight and had to split up.
スロバキアに行く前はオーストリアの隣にある国ですが，どんな国なのかイメージがわかなかったです．
Before I went to Slovakia, I didn't have an image of what kind of country it was, even though it is next to Austria.
今回乗車したバスはボロボロでトイレが使えず・・・
スロバキアに到着してからすぐに近くの公衆トイレに寄ったのですが，そこでハプニングが起きました．
The bus we boarded this time was so battered that we couldn't use the toilets...
After arriving in Slovakia, we immediately stopped at a public toilet nearby, but then something happened.
まず，トイレットペーパーがついていませんでした．幸い，ティッシュを持ち歩いていたので大丈夫でしたが，他の人はどうやってるんだろう？と思いました．
First, there was no toilet paper. Fortunately, I had tissues with me, so I was fine, but I wondered how other people did it. I wondered.
もっと驚いたのは，トイレから去ろうとした瞬間，トイレの門番のような男性がいきなり出口にひょこっと（そんな可愛いもんじゃなかった）現れて，「€１払って．」と迫ってきました．
What was more surprising was that just as I was about to leave the toilet, a man who looked like a toilet gatekeeper suddenly appeared at the exit (he wasn't that cute) and said, "Pay me €1...". He asked me to pay him €1.
チェコに行ったときにチェココロナに現金を少し変えていたのですが，ユーロでの現金は残りちょうど€１しかなかったので，危なかったです．お金払ってと言われたときは冷や冷やしました．
I had changed some cash into Czech Corona when I went to the Czech Republic, but I had just €1 left in Euros, so it was a close call. I was chilled when they asked me to pay.
スロバキアに到着してからすぐにブラチスラバ城へ向かいました．お城ってどこでも標高が高いところにありので，街を一望できますよね．
As soon as I arrived in Slovakia, I headed for Bratislava Castle. Castles are always located at a high altitude, so you get a great view of the city,dont't you?

どこを撮っても絵になります．
Everywhere you take a picture is picturesque.
スロバキアはまだまだ発展途中な国で，道路が整理されていてキレイなところもあれば少し道を外れると廃れたビルが立ち並ぶようなところもあり，不思議な感じがしました．
Slovakia is a country still in the process of development, and I found it strange that in some places the roads are well organised and beautiful, while in others, a little off the beaten track, there are rows of dilapidated buildings.
最後にグーグルマップで調べてパブでスロバキア料理を食べてウィーンの空港に戻りました．
Finally, I looked it up on Google Maps, had some Slovak food in a pub and returned to the airport in Vienna .

チーズと小麦粉をふんだんに使った料理で美味しかったです．ワインと一緒に頂きました．旅行中って毎日お酒飲みますよね🍷
It was a delicious dish with lots of cheese and flour . I had it with a glass of wine. You drink alcohol every day when you are travelling, don't you?

とても濃い一週間の旅でした．ちょっと忙しすぎて疲れましたが，もっと色々な文化や料理，人に触れあいたいなと思いました．
It was a very intense week of travel. I was a bit too busy and tired, but I would have liked to have more contact with different cultures, cuisines and people.
おわりにConclusion
2023年は環境の変化でかなり体調を崩してしまいました．
In 2023, I was quite ill due to environmental changes .
１年のうちでこんなに体調崩したのは初めてだった気がします．所詮動物なんだなと感じました．笑
I don't think I've ever been so ill in a year ... I felt like I was just an animal.
