はじめに Introduction
年末は日本に帰りました．
At the end of the year, I went back to Japan .
本当は2024年の春に帰る予定だったのですが，2023年の6月あたりから親知らずが痛み出してしまいずっと悩んでおりました．
I was actually planning to return in the spring of 2024, but my wisdom teeth started to hurt around June 2023 and have been bothering me ever since.
親知らずのせいか，昨年は今までにないほど体調を崩してしまいました．
Perhaps because of my wisdom teeth, I was sicker last year than I have ever been.
親知らずをイギリスで抜こうかと思ったのですが，周りの方からお話を伺うと「イギリスは親知らずを抜くときは全身麻酔だよ．」とか「１本抜くつもりが目が覚めたら４本抜かれていたよ．」とか・・・色々と良からぬ噂話を聞き怖くなったので，保健はききませんが日本に帰って抜くことにしました．
I thought about having my wisdom teeth removed in the UK, but I heard from people around me that "in the UK you have to have a general anaesthetic when you have your wisdom teeth removed..." I was going to have one wisdom tooth removed, but when I woke up I found that they had removed four...". I heard a lot of bad rumours and got scared, so I decided to go back to Japan to have them removed, even though there was no national insurance.
一度だけ現地の歯医者に行ったのですが，レントゲンだけで￡60かかりました(*_*;
I went to a local dentist once and it cost me ￡60 just for an x-ray．
ということで，今回の記事は日本の年末年始の思い出を残しておこうと思います．
So this article will leave you with some memories of the year-end and New Year's holidays in Japan.
出発から飛行機Departure to plane
出発したのはクリスマス直前だったのでクリスマスツリーをヒースロー空港で発見しました🎄
We left just before Christmas and found the Christmas tree at Heathrow Airport.
飛行機の中🛫では，映画を見たりうたた寝したりしていました．
On the plane 🛫, I watched films and dozed off.
今回は「ミッションインポッシブル」と「A few gootd men」を拝見しました．
This time I watched " Mission Impossible" and "A few gootd men" .
ミッションインポッシブルは実際に映画館で観たのですが，英語だったのでよく聞き取れず，日本語字幕で見れて満足でした．
I actually watched Mission Impossible in the cinema, but it was in English, so I couldn't understand it well, so I was happy to watch it with Japanese subtitles.
「A few good men」は大学の英語の授業で拝見したのですが，全部は観たことがなかったので，目に留まってつい選んでしまいました．
I watched "A few good men" in my English class at university, but I'd never watched them all, so they caught my eye and I picked them out.
90年代の映画は今では表現できない，なんとも言えない雰囲気があってとても好きです．
I love the films of the 90s because they have an indescribable atmosphere that cannot be expressed nowadays.
日本食堪能と悲劇Japanese food proficiency and tragedy
8か月ぶりに日本に到着して最初に食べたものは「抹茶ソフト」です．
羽田空港の「茶寮翠泉」で頂きました．
The first thing I ate after arriving in Japan for the first time in eight months was 'Matcha Soft'.
I had it at Saryo Suisen in Haneda Airport.
到着したのが夜だったので，その日は東京に宿泊しました．
As it was night when I arrived, I stayed overnight in Tokyo that day.
次の日に池袋東武店の「茶寮翠泉」に行き再び抹茶を食べました．笑
The next day I went to ”Saryo Suisen” at the Ikebukuro Tobu branch and had matcha again.
そして何より，コンビニにいつでも行ける幸せを噛み締めました👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
８か月しかたっていないのにコンビニの商品が少し変わってびっくりしました．
Above all, I was happy to be able to go to the convenience store anytime I wanted. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I was surprised to see that the products in the convenience store had changed a little after only eight months.
そして，私に迫った悲劇とは「健康診断」です．
And the tragedy that loomed over me was the 'medical check-up'.
帰ってきてからすぐに健康診断を受けたのですが，人生初の健康診断の結果が「E」でした😂
I had a medical check-up as soon as I got back and for the first time in my life I got the grade 'E' 😂.
何が足を引っ張っていたかといいますと「胃」です．昔から疲れが出ると胃がキリキリと痛かったのですが，その原因は胃の中に潜むピロリ菌です．
What was dragging me down was my stomach. I have always had a stomach ache when I get tired, but the cause is the H. pylori bacterium hiding in my stomach.
ほっておくと胃がん・胃に穴が空いたりするらしいので，除去してから帰ることにしました．
I heard that if left untreated, it could lead to stomach cancer or a hole in the stomach, so I decided to remove it before leaving.
あ，胃の検査はバリウム検査も胃カメラ検査もやりましたが，もう二度とやりたくないです．なんかもっと苦しくならない方法誰か考えてください😵💫
I've had a barium and a gastroscopy, but I don't want to do it again. Please think of a way to make it less painful.
それよりもショックだったのが体重が５kgも増えていたことです🙄😱
More shocking was that I had gained 5 kg.
そこまでの量は食べていなかったのですが，出てくる料理がすべて茶色い物だったのでそれが原因だったのかな？と思います．今年は絶対体重もどします．
I didn't eat that much, but all the food was brown, so maybe that was the reason? I think so. I will definitely regain my weight this year.
ディズニーランドDisneyland
ディスニ―はクリスマスシーズンが一番好きです．
Disney likes the Christmas season best .
クリスマス自体は特に興味がないのですが，クリスマスに向けて準備をする街のにぎわいを見るのがとても好きなのです．
I'm not particularly interested in Christmas itself, but I really like to see the bustle of the city getting ready for it.
エレクトニカルパレードは特等席で見れました♪🎅🎄大満足．
I had a special seat to see the Electronical Parade 🎅🎅🎄 very satisfied .

１泊２日名古屋旅行2-day/1-night trip to Nagoya
続いては新幹線で相棒と名古屋旅行へ．
Next, I travelled to Nagoya with my partner on the Shinkansen .
１日目は名古屋港水族館です．私の相棒はシャチが大好きで，私も水族館が好きなので気づいたら５時間ほど滞在しました．
The first day was at the Port of Nagoya Aquarium. My partner loves killer whales and I love aquariums, so we found ourselves there for about five hours.
シャチがなぜ哺乳類と断定できたのか勉強をしました．
I studied why killer whales were determined to be mammals.
楽しかった🐡🐟☟
近くにイルミネーションスポットがあったのでついでに見てきました．
There was an illumination spot nearby, so I went and had a look .
夜は居酒屋で少し名古屋名物を食べてからホテルで飲みなおしました．
In the evening we had a few Nagoya specialities at an izakaya and then went back to the hotel for drinks .
居酒屋での写真は撮り忘れてしまいました．．串カツ・手羽先・餃子を堪能しました．
やっぱり名古屋は味が濃いものが多かったです．
I forgot to take photos at the pub . I enjoyed kushikatsu, chicken wings and gyoza (dumplings).
Nagoya has a strong flavour, after all.
２日目は私がずっと行きたかった場所「名古屋市科学館」へ．
On the second day, I went to the Nagoya City Science Museum, a place I had always wanted to visit.
お目当てはプラネタリウムです．世界最大のプラネタリウムは綺麗でした☆
The planetarium was a must-see. The world's largest planetarium was beautiful.
座り心地がとてもよく，うとうとしてしまいましたが・・・笑
The seat was so comfortable that I dozed off.
他にも南極の-30℃を体感できる場所や科学実験とかがあってここも気づいたら４時間ほど滞在していました．
There is also a place where you can experience -30°C in Antarctica and scientific experiments, where I found myself staying for about four hours.
帰り際，科学館の目の前にあったたい焼き屋さんによって甘い物を食べました．
他のお店では味わえないフレーバーがたくさんありました．
On the way home, we went to a taiyaki shop right in front of the science museum to eat something sweet.
There were many flavours that could not be found in other shops.
お昼はひつまぶしを食べると決めていたのですが，長蛇の列で１時間ほど待っても名前が呼ばれなかったので新幹線に間に合わないと断念し，急遽味噌煮込みうどんに変更しました．カキが入った味噌煮込みうどんを注文しました．
I had decided to have Hitsumabushi for lunch, but there was a long queue and my name was not called after waiting for an hour, so I gave up and changed to Miso-nikomi Udon in a hurry as I could not make the bullet train in time. I ordered Miso Nikomi Udon with oysters.
時間があっという間に過ぎてしまってびっくりしました．ひつまぶし，小倉トーストはまた今度．
I was surprised that time passed so quickly. I will eat the Hitsu-mabushi and Ogura Toast next time.
江の島と横浜Enoshima and Yokohama
年始にはお参りするために神奈川へ．
At the beginning of the year, I went to Kanagawa to pay my respects .
江ノ電に乗って江の島駅で下車して江島神社に向かって歩いていたら途中で富士山が見えました✨
I took the Enoden(which is cute green train) and got off at Enoshima Station and was walking towards Ejima Shrine when I saw Mt Fuji on the way.
お参りしてから今年を占うおみくじを引きました．
After praying, I drew a fortune to predict the year ahead .
健康第一で今後も夢を追い続けて頑張ります👍
I will continue to put my health first and work hard to pursue our dreams in the future.
I tried the octopus crackers, which are said to be famous .
少し小腹がすいたので海鮮を食べました🦑🐚
We was a bit hungry, so We had some seafood.

夜ごはん何にしようと考えていましたが，近かったので横浜中華街へ行きました．
I was thinking about what to have for dinner, but I went to Yokohama Chinatown because it was close.
何年ぶりだったか忘れましたが，久々の中華，美味しかったです🥟🥠🌞
I don't remember how long it's been since I've been China town...
But It was sooo good!
中華街では焼き小籠包とタピオカを食べました．この量でもかなりお腹がいっぱいになりました．
In Chinatown, I had grilled parcels and tapioca. I was quite full even with this amount of food .
ついでに赤レンガ倉庫によってウィンドーショッピングを楽しみました．
I also went window shopping at the Red Brick Warehouse.
私にとって赤レンガ倉庫といったら「あぶない刑事」のエンディング．
For me, the Red Brick Warehouse is the ending of "abunaideka"which is japanese TV drama.

東京へも遊びに行きました．ずっと指輪が欲しかったので，指輪を作りました．
I also went to Tokyo for a visit. I wanted a ring for a long time, so I made one.
カップルしかいない中，私は一人黙々と作業していました．笑
I was working quietly by myself, with only a couple around.
仕事が良い方向に進みますように，と右手人差し指用に．日本のお守りは持ち歩くのが苦手なので，一生使えるお守りができてよかったなと，満足です．
I put it on the index finger of my right hand to wish that my work will go in the right direction. I'm not good at carrying around Japanese amulets, so I'm happy to have an amulet that will last a lifetime.
お昼は青山にあるパン屋さんでクロワッサンを食べました🥐☟
I had croissants for lunch at a bakery in Aoyama.
それから渋谷のロフトで開催されたハイキュー展へお姉ちゃんと言ってきました．
Then I went with my sister to the Hi-Q which is vollyball animetion exhibition at the Loft in Shibuya .
その帰りに沖縄料理屋さんで飲み．紅イモコロッケがおいしかったです．
On the way back, we had a drink at an Okinawan restaurant. The red potato croquettes were delicious ...
今度日本へ帰るときは沖縄も行きたいなと思いました．
I would like to visit Okinawa next time I go back to Japan.
東京には住んでたのに，渋谷駅を利用するのはなんだかんだ初めてでした．
Although I had lived in Tokyo, this was somehow the first time I had used Shibuya station.
それから，出発前最後の土日を利用して大洗へ．
美味しいオイスターを食べに行きました．
Then we went to Oarai on the last Saturday and Sunday before departure.
We went to Oarai to eat delicious oysters.
そしてラストスパートは日本でしか食べられないものを極限まで胃の中に詰め込み，出発しました．抹茶・納豆・キムチ・おでん🍢・煮物・すし・すし・すし🍣
And for the last spurt, we stuffed our stomachs to the limit with food that can only be found in Japan, and off we went.
Matcha, natto, kimchi, oden🍢, simmered dishes, sushi, sushi, sushi🍣.
親知らず抜いた後の食事Eating after wisdom teeth extraction
健康診断の結果が届いたのが30日，飛行機は１月１日の予定だったので急いでキャンセルし，歯科と内科に連絡．
The results of the medical check-up were received on 30 January and the flight was scheduled for 1 January, so I hurriedly cancelled the flight and contacted the dental and internal medicine departments.
色々な人にご迷惑をおかけしました．また，温かい言葉をかけてくれた人に感謝です．
I am sorry for the trouble I have caused to many people. I would also like to thank those who gave me warm words of encouragement.
親知らず抜歯経験者から，「すっごい痛かったよ」と脅してきたので少しビビっていたのですが全然大丈夫でした🦷（２本目は痛かった．）
I was a bit intimidated by the threats from people who had had their wisdom teeth extracted, saying that it hurt like hell, but it was totally fine!(The second one was painful ...)
しかし，抜歯した後はあまりかまない方がいいと言われたので流動食を楽しみました．
However, I enjoyed a liquid diet because I was told I should not chew too much after the tooth extraction.
１日目は飲むタイプのゼリーを飲んで栄養補給をしました．抜いた直後は流動食でも美味しいものがたくさんあるのでやっぱり日本で抜いてよかったと思いました☟
On the first day, I drank a drinkable jelly to nourish myself ... Immediately after taking it out, I was glad that I had taken it out in Japan, because there are many tasty liquid foods.
Morning of the second day .Thank you . Porridge ...
Day 2 evening . convenience store's smoothies recommended.
３日目の夜あたりから徐々に食べられるようになり，もうすっかり元気です．
I started to eat gradually on the third night and is now completely healthy.
おわりにconclusion
やっぱり生まれ育った場所は居心地が良かったです．特にトイレの綺麗さは世界一だと実感しました．(まだ世界一周してないけど．)
I felt at home in the place where I grew up. I realised that the cleanliness of the toilets in particular is the best in the world. (I haven't been round the world yet...).
久々にたくさんの人に会えたのも良かったです🤗🕶️
It was also good to see so many people after a long time.

今回の目的は親知らずの治療だったので，安静にしていましたが次はもっとたくさんの人にお会いしたいと思いました💞
The purpose of this visit was wisdom teeth treatment, so I was at rest, but next time I wanted to see more people.
次に日本に帰ってくるときは，絶対体重戻して帰ってきます🛬🛬🛬
Next time I come back to Japan, I will definitely regain my weight.
