はじめに At first
こんにちは，ゴールデンウイーク🎏いかがお過ごしでしょうか？

明日はコロネーションのためイギリスでは街が賑わいを見せております🎈
Tomorrow the city is bustling in England because of the coronation.
先週職場の先輩にロンドンを案内してもらいました．
I had a senior at work show me around London last week.
物心つく前から名探偵コナンを観ていて（おそらく），映画や話の中で何度も登場するロンドンの風景に，いつしか憧れを抱いていました．
I had been watching Detective Conan for as long as I could remember (probably), and I had a longing for the scenery of London that appeared many times in movies and stories.
いつかビックベンを間近で見てみたい，と思い続け．．．やっと叶いました！
I kept thinking that one day I would like to see Big Ben up close... It finally came true!

ロンドン・アイ London Eye
夕方４時くらいにウォータールー駅に到着し，徒歩でロンドン市内を散策しました♪
I arrived at Waterloo Station around 4 o'clock in the evening and walked around London.
まず最初に目に飛び込んできたのは，ロンドン・アイ！
The first thing that caught my eye was the London Eye.
ロンドンアイはミレニアムプロジェクトにより1999年末に開業したようです．
The London Eye opened at the end of 1999 due to the Millennium Project.
乗りたかったのですが，今回は時間が限られていたのでまたの機会に譲ります．
I wanted to ride, but this time the time was limited, so I will give it to another opportunity.

ウェストミンスター橋をてくてく👣👣と渡り，ビックベンまで．
I crossed Westminster Bridge to Big Ben.
橋の途中ではギターの弾き語りでエドシーランのperfectが聴こえ，一層安らぎました．
In the middle of the bridge, I could hear Ed Sheeran's perfect guitar playing, which made me feel even more at ease.
昨年2022年に改修したばかりなので外装はとても綺麗でした．
I just renovated it last year in 2022, so the exterior was very beautiful.
実は正式名称は「エリザベスタワー」と名付けられているらしいです．
Actually, it seems that the official name is "Elizabeth Tower".
元々は「時計塔」を意味するクロックタワーが正式名称だったのですが，エリザベス２世の在位60周年を記念して，2012年に変更されたようです．
Originally, the official name was "Clock Tower" , but it was changed in 2012 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the reign of Elizabeth II.
ビックベンが目に入った瞬間，何も言葉が出なかったです．テレビの画面でしか見たことのなかった風景が今目の前にある．．圧巻でした．
The moment Big Ben caught my eye, I couldn't say a word. It was a undeniable masterpiece.
ビックベンを背景に赤い電話ボックスで記念撮影もしました．
I also took a commemorative photo with a red telephone booth with Big Ben in the background.
バッキンガム宮殿 Buckingham Palace
歴史は得意ではないので，誰が暮らしているのか・誰が建設したのかよくわからないまま観光していました．
I'm not good at history, so I was sightseeing without knowing who lived there or who built it.
家に帰ってから調べてみると，
When I got home and looked it up,
1703年にバッキンガム公・ジョン・シェフィールという人が建てた館を1760年頃に当時の王様であるジョージ3世が別荘として買い取ったのが起源とされているようです．
It originated from the fact that George III, the king at that time, bought the house as a villa around 1760 by a man named John Sheffeel, Duke of Buckingham, in 1703.
そして，1837年ヴィクトリア女王のときにイギリス王室の公式の宮殿になったようです．
And it seems that it became the official palace of the British royal family during the reign of Queen Victoria in 1837.
夏季は中を見学できるので，またゆっくりと見に行く予定です(^^♪

イギリス出発前に大学時代の研究室の先生のもとへご挨拶に行ったところ，たまたま最近までイギリスへ用があって行ってらしたようで観光地を色々と教えていただきました．
Before leaving for England, I went to greet a professor in my laboratory at university, and it just so happened that he had been to England for business until recently, and he told me about various sightseeing spots.
その中の１つが「フォートナム＆メイソン」という紅茶屋さん．お店の中はまるでディズニーランドのお土産コーナーのよう☟
One of them was a tea shop called "Fortnum & Mason", and the inside of the shop looked like a Disneyland souvenir corner.
イギリスでは王室に認められると，王室のロゴが付けられるのです．
In the UK, when a person is recognized by the royal family, the royal logo is attached.
王室に認められることで商品やサービスを提供できるブランドや会社に授けられる称号を「ロイヤルワラント」というらしいです．かっこいい．
It seems that the title given to brands and companies that can provide goods and services by being recognized by the royal family is called "royal warrants".
王室なら誰でも決められる訳ではなく，権限を持つのは直系の王位継承者のみだそう．
It heard that not everyone in the royal family can decide, and only the direct heir to the throne has authority.
フォートナム＆メイソンさんではエリザベス女王とチャールズ皇太子のお墨付きの様です．

チョコレート chocolate
私が最も好きな食べ物はチョコレートなのですが，それを職場の先輩にお伝えしたところ，チョコレート屋さん「carpo」に連れてってくださいました．
My favorite food is chocolate, and when I told my colleague, they took me to the chocolate shop "Carpo".
時間がなかったので，ホットチョコレートだけ買ってすぐに店を出てしまいました．
I didn't have time, so I bought only hot chocolate and left the store immediately.
実はホットチョコレートを頂くのは，人生初‼🎉
Actually, it was the first time in my life that I had hot chocolate!
程よい苦さでとてもおいしく，疲れが吹っ飛びました．
It was moderately bitter and very delicious, and my fatigue was blown away.
チャイナタウン Chinatown
夕食はチャイナタウンでアジア料理を頂きました．私はどちらかというと和食より洋食が好きで，日本食が恋しいと思っていません．今のところは．．．
I had Asian food for dinner in Chinatown, I prefer Western food to Japanese food, and I don't miss Japan food.
ですが，イギリスに来てから１ヶ月が経ちますがほとんど毎日洋食で主食はジャガイモでした．そのせいか，やはりアジア料理はほっこりしました😋
However, it has been a month since I came to England, and almost every day I ate Western food, and the staple food was potatoes.Perhaps because of that, Asian food was relaxing.
ミュージカル musical
人生初，サヴォイというところでミュージカルを拝見しました．作品は「pretty woman」!
For the first time in my life, I saw a musical in a place called Savoy, and the work was "pretty woman"!
一緒に来てくださった職場の先輩は別の公演を見に行かれたので，チケットの購入から場所の移動まで１人．冒険しているようで楽しかったです．
The senior at work who came with me went to see another performance, so it was fun to be on an adventure alone, from purchasing tickets to moving from place to place.
開演からずっと鳥肌がたって2時間30分があっという間でした．
I got goosebumps from the start of the performance, and 2 hours and 30 minutes went by in a blink of an eye.
映画は観たことがなかったのですが，それもまた良かったのかもしれません．俳優さんの声量にとても驚きました．
I hadn't seen the movie, but that may have been a good thing, and I was very surprised by the amount of voice the actors heard.
映画で流れる「Roy Orbison」有名が最後に演奏観客のほとんどがスタンディングオベーションでリズムに合わせて手拍子をしていました．
The famous "Roy Orbison" played in the movie at the end of the performance, and most of the audience clapped their hands to the rhythm with a standing ovation.
観に来れてよかったなと思いました．
I'm glad I came to watch it.

After the musical ended, I took the train home.
おわりに Conclusion
夕方からロンドンを散策しましたが，かなり満喫できました．
I walked around London in the evening and enjoyed it quite a bit.
空気も澄んでいておいしいし，誰もが生き生きと歩いていてとても刺激的な一日でした．
The air was clear and delicious, and everyone was walking lively, making it a very exciting day.
今回ロンドンに足を踏み入れて最も強く感じたことは「もっと英語が流暢に話せれば・・・」ということです．悔しさを胸に，もっと英語の勉強頑張ろうと思います．
What I felt most strongly when I set foot in London this time was that I wish I could speak English more fluently.With frustration in my heart, I will study English harder.
最近の私ですが，親知らずが生え始めてしまい，痛い・・😂😂
Recently, my wisdom teeth have started to grow and I am in pain.
イギリスに来る前にしっかりと歯医者に行って確認してもらったのですが，急に生え始めてきました．
Before coming to England, I went to the dentist to have it checked, but it suddenly started to grow.
イギリスで親知らずを抜いた経験がある方に聞いてみると，全身麻酔だそうで．．なるべく避けたい．
When I asked someone who had had wisdom teeth removed in the UK, he said it was under general anesthesia. I want to avoid it as much as possible.
しかし，イギリスの治療も少し興味もある．笑
親知らず，空気読んで欲しい．
However, I am also a little interested in treatment in the UK.
